Today the 2025/26 financial year came to an end. Apart from being amazed that’s something I actually care about now, I’m incredibly grateful for all the opportunities this year has brought me.

I’ve spent a lot of time in the field doing all sorts of science-y stuff that I reckon is pretty cool. So this year I’m going to get better at sharing what my life looks like with all of you.

Swipe to the end to see what fieldwork looks like 99% of the time. 😂

Feeling really blessed, and proud of this recipe coming together. Slow cooked swan leg tacos were a hit! This journey of self reliance and accountability for the food that I eat has been challenging, but has led me to new friends and rekindle my connection to the land I live upon. #hunting #wildkai #waterfowl #food #newzealand by @that_guy_ollie
