I’m so thankful for this little community I’ve built over the last few months. 🙏🏻💕

Never in a million years did I think I’d:
1. Commit to this hobby
2. “Meet” some of the kindest people
3. Fall back in love with reading

So from the bottom of my heart…thank you. So Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American booksta friends and to everyone else, enjoy this last fall themed before it’s all in on Christmas.🎄

I’m still reading Brimstone but from what I’ve read so far I’ve been fed. 🙌🏻

Also, swipe all the way through to see the adorable fox figures I found. They’ll absolutely be painted white like Onyx when I get the chance. taken in BOOKSTA by @thatbeachread

Pink Wednesday💕

But make it indie! I was in Orlando a few weeks ago and decided to stop by @thenewromanticsbooks. I’ve been following them on IG/Threads and I’ve been trying to support local bookstores. Annnnnnd I kinda spoiled myself. #noregrets

The store is freaking adorable. They have TONS of books and fun knick knacks, and I seriously had to stop myself at three bookmarks and five stickers because I absolutely would have bought more. 🫣 I can’t NOT buy stickers and bookmarks when I visit places...it’s a known fact. And yes, there’s also a TON of Swiftie inspired items. Take a close look at the heart bookmark. 🫶🏻

While there I also picked up the DC Stars series by @authorchelseacurto (and they’re signed!). I’ve only heard good things about this series, and it was the most popular recommendation when I asked what hockey series I should read.

QOTD: Are you more of a sticker or bookmark collector?
AOTD: I do both but I’ve started collecting bookmarks when I visit places. It’s a souvenir I know I’ll use!

❤️💚 ℜ𝔢𝔡 & 𝔊𝔯𝔢𝔢𝔫 ❤️💚

Confession time: one of my favorite holiday decorations is not the big tree but the little bottle brush trees! I put them alllll over my house, and I have them in soooo many colors. 😅

I need a new tree this year so I went looking over the weekend and I forgot how expensive they are. (I do artificial) I haven’t gotten one yet and I think I’ll wait until Black Friday and hope they go on sale then. 🤞🏻

Also, I took 2 of these pics at night and 2 this morning. I’m so happy they match and you can’t really tell. 🙌🏻🫶🏻

QOTD: What decoration do you put up first?
AOTD: Mine changes every year. 😆

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎄

This book 🥹 it was the perfect read to get me into the holiday spirit.

I don’t know what it is about BK’s men but they are just so *fun* to read. The yearning is chef’s kiss…10/10 no notes. And I love that her FMC’s are not perfect…it makes the setting and story feel more believable even with magic. Have you picked up Good Spirits yet? What did you think?

And how pretty are the cards from @eastcitybookshop?? I saw they’re doing another preorder for And Now Back to You 👀

QOTD: What’s your fave Christmas Carol retelling?
AOTD: Muppets Christmas Carol hands down for me!

About to start my Quicksilver reread before Brimstone comes out! Anyone else planning to do the same? Also, started a reread group chat if you wanna join… 👀

While planning my reread it got me thinking…what do you think is the bigger romantasy release this year: Onyx Storm or Brimstone? I’m curious to know what you think. So please vote!

QOTD: Do you think there are any other books this year that could compare to how big these two are? by @thatbeachread

October Recap! 🍁

Wow…what a month. Not only did I have my best month in terms of number of books read but also the best month with books I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

Here’s the breakdown:
📚11 physical books
📚 7 Kindle books
🎧 2 audiobooks
📚 3 ARCs

That’s a total of 23 books. Like…how? Don’t ask because honestly, I don’t know how because on top of reading I started training for a half marathon and worked my 9-5. I guess…who needs sleep? I was tired a lot of the month if that’s any indication… 😴

Fun fact: I’m a mood rater. So if I couldn’t put down a book it almost always gets 5⭐️….

So here are my top reads this month (in no particular order):
5 ⭐ First Time Caller
5 ⭐ King of Greed
5 ⭐ The Rebel and the Rose (ARC)
5 ⭐ Mate
5 ⭐ Phantasma
5 ⭐ Off to the Races
5 ⭐ If It Makes You Happy
5 ⭐ Lights Out (OMG this audiobook!!)
5 ⭐ Court of Ice and Ash

And if I had to pick a top read I think it would be Lights Out. This was one of the two audiobooks I did and I’m so happy I read it this way. Hands down one of the best audiobooks I’ve finished this year!

#QOTD: What was your fave read in October?

Have you ever started a book but for whatever reason you stopped reading and when you pick it up 3 weeks later you can’t put it down until you finish it? Only me? Cool cool. 😅

First-Time Caller (a 5⭐️ read for me!) was not what I expected but in the best way possible. It’s also my first @authorbkborison read (don’t judge!!) and I’m kinda really happy Good Spirits has been ordered and is on its way to my house. 😅

Also, for those that have read other B.K. books does Oliver make an appearance in any of them? I kinda wanna know his story….

QOTD: Is there a book you put off for the longest time and when you got to it, it blew away any and maybe all of your expectations?

Currently reading: Mate by Ali Hazelwood 🐺 (this book is SO dang good!)

Pretty edges got me like 😍

I think edges are some of the coolest features in books nowadays. While this trend isn’t new (it’s actually been around for hundreds of years!) it’s definitely evolved and it’s made this reader very happy. 😍

And the best part is you don’t have to have a book box subscription to get pretty books! These are a combo of ones I’ve gotten from my boxes and from the bookstore.

QOTD: What’s your favorite type of edge? Swipe to see examples!

🎨 Printed
🎨 Sprayed
🎨 Sayings
🎨 Connecting edges

Bookish confession: I’ll buy books just for their edges if I think they’re pretty. 🫣

It’s hockey (romance) season! 🏒

I meant to post this last week when the season started but I put myself on a social media ban because I needed to finish a few ARCs and submit the reviews. Now that I’ve done that…🫣

I missed you guys! 🥹 I didn’t realize how much I enjoy interacting with you until I put myself in timeout.

But yay hockey season! Which means it’s time to break out the hockey romance books. I actually asked on Threads what everyone’s favorite books were and I was blown away by the response! Hands down the top recommendation was the Vancouver Storm series.

Other popular mentions:

🥅 Anything Elle Kennedy especially the Off Campus series
🏒 Anything Helena Hunting, including the Pucked series
🥅 The DC Stars by Chelsea Curto
🏒 Playing for Keeps by Becka Mack

….and sooo many more!

QOTD: are you a fan of sports romance books?
AOTD: I am! And my first one was Pucked by Helena Hunting so when these pretty versions came out I had to get them!

Oh, hi fall! 👋🏻

It’s finally supposed to cool down this weekend in Florida (and by cool I mean 60’s in the morning) but I’m so excited. It hasn’t hit the 60’s here since probably March/April and that first taste of fall can’t come soon enough!

Every time I look the Fall I Want cover I start to sing 🎶all I want is youuu🎶 from Come On Over by Christina Aguilera. Hopefully that doesn’t age me too much. 😆🫣

I also started my first buddy read EVER with @readsbymayyy. We’re reading If It Makes You Happy! Not including the other three books I’m reading because I just can’t read one book at a time. 😅😅😅 But it makes me happy. 😎

QOTD: What’s the weather like where you live?
AOTD: It’s 85 and sunny here in Florida but not too humid.

Happy TLOAS Day! 🧡

Anyone else way too excited today for TS12? Well here’s another Showgirl inspired post for your feed. 😆

I’ll be listening to this album on repeat alllll weekend. 🎶 What’s your fave track so far? Right now I’m torn between Eldest Daughter and Opalite. But it’s honestly a no skip album and that makes me so happy. 🥹

It’s Spooky Season!

Love love love this time of year. Between the weather and the season change I really think October is the best ‘ber month with December a close second!

I hit a major personal goal for myself in September so I treated myself to these books. 🥰

QOTD: what’s your fave Halloween candy?

AOTD: Mine is definitely Snickers! But I do love candy corn too.
