For about 25 years, I’ve been seeing the world through these same lenses. I’m sitting here waiting out a lightning storm on my bike and got to thinking about these old goggles… It started back in the late 90’s - early 2000’s, when I was just beginning my professional career filming snowboarding. Burton Snowboards was preparing to launch a brand-new goggle company called @anonoptics , and I was hired to travel with some of their pro riders to capture images for the upcoming launch campaign, while also shooting for the snowboard films we were producing at the time. It was one of my first paid filming trips, and I had no idea how many adventures were ahead of me. On that trip, I was handed a pair of Anon goggles. Little did I know they would become one of the few pieces of gear I’d hang on to for the next quarter century. From the backcountry of British Columbia to Alaska, Switzerland, France, and Italy and back to eastern Canada, these goggles have been along for some of the most incredible adventures of my life. Somehow, 20 + years later, they’re still going strong, as these days, they’ve traded powder laps for muddy motocross rides in the fall and winter. It’s funny how something as simple as a pair of goggles can carry so many memories. 25 years of seeing the world through these lenses.🤘 by @thatbigry
