This one time last year, I took over the decks at @baladessonores Sonores (still my absolute favourite record store, with the best humans and cats) in Paris for Fête de la Musique and before I knew it, the whole place had flipped into a dancefloor.🕺🏻💃🏻🕺🏻💃🏻🕺🏻💃🏻💃🏻People dancing in the aisles, dancing while crate digging, dancing at the cash counter, spilling out onto the streets… and then more people walking in like “wait, what is happening here?”🪩🪩For that entire Europe run, I had decided I’m only playing music from the Indian + Southeast Asian diaspora, the kind of stuff people there haven’t really tapped into. ⚡🌺The track you’re hearing, Chal Gori by disco queen Runa Laila, always gets them. Everyone thinks I’m about to drop Johnny B Goode… and then 20 seconds in, you see the switch.That exact moment — the “what was that?”, the “why does this sound so good?”, and my personal favourite: “WHAT… this is by an Indian artist?”Yeah… this. This is what makes me happy 😁😁 by @thatbrownlady

Bombay slowed down for a night and slipped into another time.For the Vintage Verse Launch with @casio_vintage_in , I draped a saree, dropped the needle, and let forgotten records from another era take over the room.Somewhere between analogue nostalgia and Casio’s timeless pulse, the room found its rhythm and didn’t let go.🍷🌞💯💃🏻🕺🏻Somewhere between the crackle and the chorus, the past felt very alive again.A night that felt less like an event, more like a mood you carry with you.More of this, always. 🪩 🌺 by @thatbrownlady

We celebrated the last Saturday of 2025, Analogue style.We listened to records, discovered new music, sang along on classics, wrote postcards to our long lost friends, made DIY 2026 calendars with @sushimushidesigns while @nook_goa bar kept belting cocktails and drinks one after another and @localravezombie made some sick photos.To the community who has always supported us, loved everything analog, kept pushing us and have always had our backs, THANK YOU!!Much emotional 2025 stuff coming soon (but in 2026 😬) by @thatbrownlady
