Let me tell you a story… 🖤🐾

Years ago, my brother rescued a tiny miniature pinscher named Rusty from an abusive home. For 13 years, Rusty was his shadow, protector, and best friend. Losing him hurt so deeply he swore he’d never go through that pain again.

Growing up watching their bond made me dream of having one of my own someday too. I always wanted a Doberman, the real thing. Funny enough, it was my brother’s dream breed too, but life started us off with little Rusty first.

Years later, Bella came into my life because of that dream. She was always meant to be mine, and she still is. But the second my brother met her, she completely stole his heart too. Deep down, I think Bella healed something in him and reminded him why he loved Dobermans so much in the first place.

Truthfully, the only reason I ever decided to breed Bella was because I wanted my brother to finally have the Doberman he always dreamed of too. Everything aligned perfectly at the right time, even the father being my neighbor’s gorgeous red European boy right next door.

When the puppies came, I told my brother to let his heart choose. From day one, it was Scarface. The chunkiest, funniest little potato in the litter. And the craziest part? His name came from Bella accidentally biting him as a puppy and leaving him with a tiny scar.

Most people would’ve seen a flaw. We saw a sign he was meant to stay.

Now Scarface is glued to my brother’s side. The way they look at each other, the way he trains him, the goofy adventures they go on… it honestly feels like they were waiting for each other their whole lives.

Unlike Rusty, who knew pain before love, Scarface will only ever know happiness, toys, adventures, and a family obsessed with him.

And me? I still got my dream too. 🖤 I got my Doberman, my Bella girl. But somehow through her, my brother ended up finding his forever boy too. by @thatdobermanbella
