Episode 2 of covering great artists from the area!

For this episode I thought I'd do a song by an artist that's music has meant a lot to me for a long time. Not only is Dan an amazing songwriter, he's a real inspiration of how an artist can use their voice and platform for things more important then just art.

This is a short rendition of Sold by @danmanganmusic filmed at High Rock Park in Esquimalt.

We turned this night into a fundraiser show for those who have lost homes. Vernon Elks Hall TOMORROW NIGHT, 7pm - **free for evacuees to attend**, $20 door for everyone else.

A place to take a breather and show our neighbors some love and support. There will be tables for physical supply donations as well as info on lots of fundraising efforts, a jar for cash donations that will be distributed evenly between families and evacuee support hubs.

"Everything I had been writing... nothing felt genuine."

Jesse from Local Charm on what changed when he moved from the Okanagan to Victoria. The songs stopped feeling forced and started writing themselves.

That move also brought him back into contact with an old friend, guitarist Shane. They'd written together as teenagers back in Vernon and lost touch for years. Two of those early songs ended up on Local Charm's self-titled album.

August 13th at the Vernon Elks Hall! Gonna be playing a home-towner with our good friends THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN WILDFLOWERS and VOLUNTEERS. We'll be fresh out of the studio and rocking a bunch of new tunes!
