Track 2023: Junior Year

After not being able to compete last year due to two knee surgeries with my meniscus being torn, I was finally able to return to track this year and smashed all of my PB’s. Being in Highschool now made it a lot more difficult to break a school record, but I pulled through and beat the long jump record with 21’3.5”. I ended up getting 6’0 for high jump. During state at BYU I placed 5th in long jump with 20’10.5” and 18th in high jump with 5’10 (6’0 would’ve meant 8th). Im honored to have won MVP for Salem Hills, truly an accomplishment I will always hold dearly. This year was great and I’m glad I got to hang with these goobers all season, I want to especially thank my coaches for being able to work with me and give me the coaching I needed to do as well as I did. I look forward to next year where I can hopefully get another school record and a better position at state.
