A little recap of my photography journey in 2024. I started off the year shooting medium format film; a departure from what I had been accustomed to in previous years with my 77d. What I took from my time shooting 10 photos per roll, aside from obviously patience, was a deeper understanding of exposure and overall tone. This was further realized when I started shooting more b&w. As the year went on, I felt the need to experiment with the fundamentals that create exposure, mainly shutterspeed. It was then when I found use for my digital camera again, as an experiment with $15+ a roll of film proved to exceed my budget lol. I also spent most of the year quite precarious about shooting color. However, throughout my photography studies, I began to view color in a way that aligns more with my liking, and better yet, I was developing a way of capturing it all in camera. Last year was a busy one, yet I made a lot of progress on a project I've been working on for years. Not quite ready to announce anything about it yet, but I will say, if anyone has any experience or interest in filmmaking/animation, please feel free to reach out as I am currently looking for collaborators. One last thing. If anyone has any interest in buying any of my photos, just message me on here, and we can discuss details. I am working on getting a website up that will have a more cohesive catalog of my work. In the meantime, I am open to any photo you find desirable that has been posted on here. Anyways, have a great New years everyone! Remember that the only thing that you can control is how you react to the world around you and the quality of time you spend thinking before you do so. #longexposure #longexposurephotography #blackandwhitephotography #life #portrait by @thatmandodude
