🍃COVER REVEAL 🍃 We’re thrilled to share with you the cover of #NickNewman’s eerie, hypnotic, and darkly beautiful novel, THE GARDEN, publishing on February 18th, 2025.

In a place and time unknown, two elderly sisters live in a walled garden, secluded from the outside world. Evelyn and Lily have only ever known each other. What was before the garden, they have forgotten; what lies beyond it, they do not know. When a nameless boy is found hiding in the boarded house at the center of their isolated grounds, their once-solitary lives are irrevocably disrupted.

As suspicions gather and allegiances falter, Evelyn and Lily are forced to confront the dark truths about themselves, the garden, and the world as they’ve known it. 📖🍃 by @thatnicholasbowling

In a place and time unknown, two elderly sisters live in a walled garden, secluded from the outside world. For as long as they can remember, Evelyn and Lily have only had each other. What was before the garden, they have forgotten; what lies beyond it, they do not know.

Each day is spent in languid service to their home: tending the bees, planting the crops, and dutifully following the instructions of the almanac written by their mother. So, when a nameless boy is found hiding in the boarded house at the centre of this new Eden, the reality of their existence is irrevocably shattered. Who is he? And where did he come from?

@tsba_uk ceremony last night was unbelievably fun. So inspiring and so humbling to talk to so many clever and funny and creative young readers. Someone made a replica of of the whole village from The Undying of Obedience Wellrest. And a crochet model of her grave plot, for goodness sake. Look!

What a good time. I feel very lucky and very privileged and very hopeful. I think everything’s probably going to be fine. by @thatnicholasbowling

Still reeling from watching Wuthering Heights? We have the cure! Emerald Fennell loved reading The Garden by @thatnicholasbowling calling it ‘extraordinary’.

‘It already feels like a classic’ - Emerald Fennell, Oscar winning director of Wuthering Heights.

UK paperback of The Garden is out on THURSDAY.

I didn’t think it possible but I love this cover even more than the hardback version. Something very eerie and melancholy about it all.

I will be bludgeoning you all with it (figuratively) for the rest of the week, sorry. by @thatnicholasbowling

Just been sent Korean copies of The Undying of Obedience Wellrest!

Always find myself weirdly overwhelmed by this sort of thing. It’s wonderful and moving to think of young readers tucked up in bed or taking the school bus or sitting in the library with Ned and Bede for company. I feel very lucky.

Great to see this addition added some creepy endpapers and - crucially - still has Mosca the fly scuttling around the chapter headings! by @thatnicholasbowling
