Sometimes I wonder what it feels like to be a little child in a world where they’re constantly being hurried, corrected, or told to wait.

As mothers, it’s easy to fill our days with instructions instead of connection. But our children are learning who they are through the way we speak to them.

So I want my words to remind them:

- I’m so glad you’re mine.
- I love who you are.
- I’m happy you’re here.
- I love hearing your thoughts.
- You are safe with me.
- Let’s play.

if you’ve been feeling a little behind or like you’re not doing enough lately, this is your reminder to slow down for a second.

motherhood isn’t something you “catch up” in, and your days aren’t meant to look like anyone else’s. some days feel productive and put together, and other days feel messy and overwhelming, and both are part of it.

l’ve been learning that just because a day doesn’t look how I planned doesn’t mean it was a bad one. showing up, loving your kids, and doing what you can with what you have is already enough.
