OUR ALBUM IS OUT TODAY!!!

‘This Is What I Live For’ is out on all streaming services and stuff - I will fully upload it to YouTube to listen to if you’re that kinda gal too at some point in the next few days :)

It has been an immensely special process, and looking through these old videos has really reminded me of the joy that this album contains for me from start to finish. I hope you get a chance to listen to it and that you can share in some of that joy somehow.

The biggest of thanks and the biggest of loves to:

The legend that is the ever patient @kevinfoyproducer who was with us from the demos of a 1,000 guitar parts to now!
Our fantastic Monkey Mind co-writer/bv extraordinaire @sanjacin
Our wonderful spontaneous horn section @austensarah @matnartin_394 @hannahearlfilm
The witchiest tour de force who works her magic to bring light to each tune she’s part of @phoenix_rousiamani
The boys themselves @gabe__alexander @jamescookemusic

I have had the honour of making music with those three marvellous people for many years now, and it’s exciting to feel like we’re moving forward still, going to new musical places and I feel I grow personally with each step. If you don’t, please write music people, even if that’s just writing poetry and working with your mate who plays guitar/piano - it’s such a lovely experience.

Massive thanks as well to:
@trappedanimalrecords for working with us on the release through their sub label We Go To 11!
And of course @sophiejadeillustrations for her amazing artwork!!

When you listen, you’ll be hearing 3 and a half years of life, love, work, sorrow and happiness - I hope there’s something in it that can accompany you on your journey for however long you need it.

Much love,
TOQL

An exciting double week of amazing Manchester music is on its way! Of course we’re mega excited to welcome Canadian rock outfit @thomasduxburynmn to the @eagleinn stage and share it with them tomorrow, with @alorband no less. Big thanks to everyone’s who got their ticket for that so far.

Next Thursday, @dreamjeansmusic are gigging at Yes Basement! Dedicate every Thursday in October to some wonderful Manchester grassroots music why not?? Come see them with us, we can’t wait.

SINGLE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Our next single ‘Special Boy’ is out 20th October.

We were lucky to get to have Manchester’s own @marsblossom_music on this one, they smashed it, we loved having them on the track.

GIGS ANNOUNCEMENT!

Haven’t seen us in a while and regret missing out on such fun moments like:
Me calling my mom on stage
Me being heckled by the audience
Us playing our songs and people enjoying them?

Well you have two opportunities to rectify this travesty.

Number one is supporting @thomasduxburynmn at @eagleinn on the 8th of October! Very excited to support our first Canadian artist, come down and support grassroots music from across the pond and within the pond itself. Expect some big ol’ rock!

Number two is supporting @charlie.james.music at @gulliversnq on the 2nd of November for our first ever show at Gulliver’s! Folky singer songwriter is this vibe of this show, so we’ll be showing a bit more of that side of our indie-emo-folk sonic cocktail.

Also expect a new music announcement imminently!

That’s all, cheers ❤️

NEW MUSIC IS ON THE WAY!!

It’s so close I can practically see the unmixed stems that have been sat on my laptop for months. Enjoy a BTS of what tracking with TOQL is like! Fun, effective, at times chaotic. All my friends are talented - please hire them but only when they’re not working with me thanks 🥰
