Happy Beltane to all who celebrate! A year ago today we met this little meadow cat. He marched into our lives with his brother and sister and immediately charmed us. He was the bravest, most curious, and the sweetest one of his siblings. The first to come inside, the first to get pets, the first to play with us, and as he got older, he clearly chose us. We met him on Beltane, 2025, so we named him after the day! He’s our sweet, weird little guy. Happy one year, tiny friend! ❤️🐈‍⬛❤️ taken in Woodbridge, New Jersey by @thatotterguy

Today is “National Coming Out Day!” Obviously I don’t need to come out to anyone, but the day got me thinking a lot about little Cedric. I think about him often, and how he really put things in place for me to be who I am today. The way that little boy was so uncompromisingly authentic - even when he got bullied, even when he was told to man up, even when he was told to stop crying so much. That little boy pushed through so much shame and fear, and broke through so many societal barriers. And it’s true that he was sad and angry a lot of the time, and there was a time when he didn’t want to live any more… But I am so proud of his strength, his unwavering dedication to who he was, and his beautiful sweetness. I’m really glad I lived long enough to realize how special he was.
I love my life today, and I have the freedom to be me without as much fear. I want for every kid the safety to live authentically, and I hope every little gay and queer kid gets to grow up and see a life that is worth living, and, I hope, a world that celebrates who they are.

Today I will shout from the rooftops to anyone who will listen… please, let boys be sweet. And create a safe place for your queer kids to tell you who they are… when they’re ready. by @thatotterguy

A year ago me and @ryanweadon said goodbye to so many beautiful, special people (and pups) and journeyed across the country for a new chapter on the East Coast. Going back over all the goodbye photos, so many smiles through tears, I’m reminded of all the good in the world. This is what family looks like, this is what community looks like. And this is only a small sample of the amount of love and kindness, community and support I’ve been lucky enough to have over the years. Queer joy is overflowing. Visibility feels incredibly important right now, so here are some photos from Pride weekend. There were 10,000 more moments that I didn’t capture, but here are a few.
I loved seeing NYC burst with color and joy, the fabulous and creative Pride lewks, seeing provocative queer theatre, and connecting with old and new friends in the shadow of The Empire State Building. Happy Pride my loves! taken in New York City by @thatotterguy
