POSTS STORIES REELS
We were just on Clifton Street at Write-On the Poetry Spot—hoping folks would show up to what we knew could be a great thing for our scene. 11 years later, we are completely changed by what TPOM is and has become. Wow. Closing this chapter doesn’t feel real and is anything but easy for us. Yet, we are doing it with so much love, thought and care at the center. We love you all immensely, and we thank you for loving us—for showing up all those years ago and for continuing to support us in such beautiful ways along the journey. The Send Off Series is a celebration of the journey, the art, the moments, the memories, and the lifelong bonds we’ve built through That Peace Open Mic. It’s a celebration for all of us. We hope to see you there as we honor what TPOM has meant to and for our city. With love, @mariahivey_ , @auboni_essence, and @dyshe.official by @thatpeaceopenmic

@thatpeaceopenmic was EVERYTHING I forgot I needed this week! 🙌🏾 While I’ve been coming for years, I’ve been a stranger for some months due to life living, but I’m SO glad I made it on Thursday. Not only was my heart 💜 filled by the artistry of amazing poets. But I also grabbed some nice things and supported local black Indy businesses. I bought a book I can’t wait to read and my new favorite wooden bookmark from @thegardenofreadin_ . AND made a connection over books 📚 that I’ll be sharing soon 🤫 I bought new stones to energize and protect my spirit from @earthandfire.indy along with the most amazing smelling incense I’ve ever had. (Will be purchasing more lol) I even ate good with @chefpaulkitchen ! I enjoyed savory chicken, green beans and rice, and literally felt like I was eating at a family’s home lol. And @splashme_exp served me well with a Peach 🍑 Wood Cocktail that brought fall vibes and was NOT playin with me! 😂 All of this plus I was sitting amongst good friends who share the love of poetry right along with me. A time was had, you just needed to BE THERE! 😉 by @thatpeaceopenmic
