Where it all started (for me). 🐍 📦

Nothing beats the hum and warmth of a real CRT television. Popping in Metal Gear Solid takes me straight back to late nights in 1998.

Swipe through the pictures to check out the classic PAL case and Yoji Shinkawa’s original manual artwork. They really don't make physical games like this anymore.

Did you lose your weekends to this back on the original PlayStation, or did you miss out on it? Drop a comment and let me know

Kept you waiting, huh? 🐍

It’s been a while… a very long while. 😂

But what better reason to finally dust off the gaming page than adding Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 to the collection?

I still remember starting the original Metal Gear Solid back in 1998 and hearing that Irish language song, The Best Is Yet to Come, for the first time. I was immediately captivated. I knew right there that I was in for something special.

Nearly 30 years later, that feeling hasn't really gone away.

What started with one of the greatest games ever made has somehow evolved into Snake taking over half the shelf — PS1, PS2, PSP, GameCube, Xbox 360, Xbox One and now the Master Collections.

And yes, I realise owning multiple versions of the same games probably isn't strictly necessary. But where's the fun in that? 😂

The collection is getting very close to complete now, although there are still a few gaps to fill.

The mission continues. 🐍📦

Absolutely delighted to see a new Fable game confirmed. Can't believe we never got one this gen when the Xbox One was crying out for story driven single player content. I was very underwhelmed overall though with the Xbox games showcase. What did you think? 🤓🎮✌🏻

When I get done with Death Stranding next on my list is this beauty. I don't have the brain capacity to have more than one game on the go at any time. 🤯😅 Can you play more than one game at a time? 🤓🎮✌🏻

Like many others I've been a huge fan of Hideo Kojima's work since Metal Gear Solid on the original Playstation. All his games have first and foremost terrific gameplay with engaging characters and wonderful thought provoking (if not sometimes a little baffling) stories and Death Stranding is no exception so far. I just love his style! 🤓🎮✌🏻

Bonjour IG! What are your thoughts on Death Stranding? I can see why it's been divisive among players, the core gameplay loop consists of endless fetch quests and delivering packages. But having said all that I think it is a beautiful, reflective and at times downright baffling piece of art by Mr. Kojima that I'm delighted to be able to play.

Also I have a PS4 now 😃 so feel free to add me That_phil

It's the Playstation's silver anniversary today, 25 years old. We had to wait a year later in Europe for the release and I got mine a year later again in 1996 I think 🤔 Too many memories and classic games to list. Happy Birthday Playstation! 🤓✌🏻🎮

Couldn't resist picking up this Fire Emblem collectors edition when I saw it half price at @gamestopne Even better I was able to trade in my standard copy of the game against the price so the upgrade only cost me €20. Pretty happy to have the collectors edition of my favourite Switch game of the year 🤓✌🏻🎮

Been an absolute age since I posted! Hope everyone is well. Getting near the end of the year now so would love to get everyone's thoughts on game of the year. For me it's hands down Fire Emblem Three Houses. The fantastic story with all the amazing characters and multiple paths really drew me in and the battles are so fun. It has now become my most played game on the Switch and I still have one more ending to see! 🤓🎮✌🏻

Can't stop playing Mario Maker 2. It's such a blast to seeing all the crazy and creative levels the community are coming up with. One little gripe I have is how difficult it is to get your levels played. They need to be played and liked before they get into the endless challenge rotation, which is quite challenging! So if you've got any levels that you need to get played share the course ID below and I'll do my best to play them! 😎🍄✌🏻
