My snack adventures pt 3

Haven't been feeling like snacks lately but I definitely been craving for something chocolate!

1. Chocolate covered macadamias: so so addictive and easily can finish 2 boxes minumum!
2. Dark chocolate covered peanut and honeycomb: so moreish, so crunchy and nutty!
3. Korean chewy candy- bbapico flavoured chewy milky goodness.
4. Milk chocolate coated almonds: another creamy, nutty, crunchy goodness.
5. Matcha chocolate covered macadamia: so good but too sweet for me.

Let's get Dosed ☕️

I was given the opportunity to try @getdosed.co 's liquid instant coffee - which is like a coffee concentrate with no sugar or additives. It's a great option for when you need something on the go, no other equipment needed!!
I experimented a little and made a cocopops latte! Tasted like a light chocolate milk with a caffeine kick. I've also made an iced vanilla latte using my homemade syrup with the coffee concentrate. Also forgot to mention my iced chocolate with coffee concentrate foam ✨️

So versatile, convenient and easy to use. Thanks to @getdosed.co for sending these goodies over 🫶

Homemade Vanilla Syrup!

Super simple homemade vanilla syrup for my iced lattes.
I used equal parts sugar and water. I brought that to a boil then simmered until the desired consistency. Once cooled down, add your vanilla extract and paste then a couple of drops of lime or lemon juice for stability. So good and does not have the chemically aftertaste!! Keep in fridge for about 4 to 5 weeks.

My coffee creations part 3.

Here are more of my coffee creations!!
1. Salted honey latte: a fellow homecafe queen inspired me to try this combo during covid times.
2. Dirty chai latte and brown sugar latte: both iconic, both flavourful and super moreish.
3. Vanilla latte: using my homemade vanilla latte but i swear the vanilla bean paste tastes weaker recently for some reason?
4. Cinnamon latte: simple iced latte with a warm twist. Sweetener or no sweetener - either works perfectly.

A love letter to your gut - @blumesoda

First of all, look how gorgeous their new packaging is!! I've been having their 3 amazing flavours for a couple of months now. So here is my honest review! If you're into gut healthy, prebiotic sodas with plant fibre that aren't too sweet... this is the one for you. Also the amount of fizz is insane - that first sip is so spicy and refreshing. My personal favourite is the lemon, yuzu and ginger!! If you're into prebiotic sodas, definitely give these a go.

I've been having so much fun with the @twiningsau 's advent calendar this month. I used this as a chance to try something new everyday.

Whilst having my cup of tea everyday, whether it be in the morning or after work, I had the chance to reflect on what a journey this year has been. Truly grateful for all the love and support everyone has shown me whether it be online or in real life.

Matcha creations pt 3

I've been leaning more towards coffee than matcha lately so I don't have that many current creations. Curating this post is making me crave a matcha latte so bad!!

Let's go:
1. Passionfruit matcha ade: This is one of my fave pairings for a matcha ade. The floral notes and earthiness compliments the passionfruit pulp/syrup so well. I used a Korean passionfruit ade base but I think Coles/Woolies have passionfruit pulp!
2. Matcha banana smoothie: I was craving a banana smoothie but didn't want it to be too sweet. I thought matcha's earthiness could help neutralise the sweetness a little bit. So delicious and not too sweet.
3. Coconut matcha refresher: recently posted my recipe for this. Super refreshing and the subtle sweetness + creaminess from the coconut water made it even better.
4. Orange matcha refresher: ngl I was a little on the fence about this combo but the jeju mandarin/orange juice I used was so good with the matcha! The floral and citrus notes went well with the earthiness and deeper matcha flavours.

I got to try some of the matchas and hojicha stocked at @thematchaholic.aus

Today, I used the Shizuoka matcha with coconut water! Such a refreshing combination of floral notes, nuttiness and subtle sweetness from the coconut water!

My nightly gut health routine!!

FYI this is what has been working for me - chia seeds soaked in water with a bit of prune juice. High in fibre, gentle on the gut, and helps with digestion.

Baking creations pt2.

I haven't baked a lot recently due to the weather but when I do it's mainly out of necessity 🤣 Usually I'm okay with store bought bread, but lately they've been tasting a little too chemically. So here is what I have whipped up for some of my meals!

1. Pita bread: super fluffy and thicc pita bread to have with some veggies and labneh.
2. Flat bread: I tried the viral donor kebab recipe and felt like this flat bread (recipe by Conniesweets) would go perfectly well!
3. Ciabatta: is a staple and perfect for sandwiches of all kind!

In addition to this, I've also baked brownies which ended up being a total disaster and banana bread twice!

Long time no see everyone! I've been taking things slow and steady in life. To me, there is nothing more comforting than some good kbbq with your loved ones. The sound of fresh meat grilling on charcoal, the chit chat and laughter - comforting and healing. We had a blast at @centralbbq_2141 - the highlight of today's meal was the wagyu ox tongue, marinated be and (i think) intercostal!! So so juicy, tender and went well with the banchans!
