The 9th annual Hatshwayo Scholarship is here! Since 2018, l’ve always announced the Hlatshwayo Scholarship on my birthday not only as a way to bring in my birthday, but, more importantly, to raise awareness for the scholarship. So as an official gift to me, please share with any and every current Morehouse College student that you may know!

June 29th was the official date that I got down on one knee and asked my best friend to marry me. I’ve never felt as much anxiety and been as nervous in my life as I did that day, but the moment I held Aliyah’s hands and looked into her eyes, it all disappeared. In that moment, I was confident and excited for the question that I was about to ask: “Aliyah Makeda DeVille, will you marry me?”

She said, “yes.”
