Eulogy for Bella Bon Belly Bee
Our Daughter. Our Heart.

Today, we say goodbye to our daughter Bella Bon Belly Bee.

She may have been small, covered in fur, and walked on four legs, but let me be clear: Bella was our child. Not “just a dog.” She was family. She was our baby girl, our sass queen, our entire heart.

Bella didn’t come into our lives as a puppy. She had already lived a life before us a hard one. She came to us scared, unsure, and carrying the weight of past hurt. But she chose us. And from that moment on, she became part of our family, our home, and our hearts.

And oh, how she bloomed.

She transformed from a fearful little soul into a confident, dramatic, hilarious force of nature. Loyal, mischievous, and totally herself Bella had a personality that could fill a room. She wasn’t afraid to express her displeasure (with a well-placed pee, if necessary), and she knew exactly how to command attention, steal hearts, and get her way.

She loved her dragons. She loved her naps. But more than anything, she loved us her dad and mom. And we loved her right back, with everything we had.

Bella didn’t just become part of our family she shaped it.

She passed down her legacy in the most Bella way possible. She taught her sisters the ancient art of the huff that unmistakable little exhale of judgment, sass, or impatience that we now hear echoing through our home, even though she's gone. And somehow, she even taught her kitty sister how to bark. That was Bella tiny, but larger than life. She left pieces of herself in all of us.

She may not have been with us for all of her 14 years, but every moment we did have with her was a gift. And every day she was ours, we were better for it.

Rest now, Bella Bon Belly Bee. Our daughter. Our sass queen. Our little light. You taught us how to love harder, laugh louder, and huff with purpose. We’ll carry you with us always and forever.

And until we meet again, I know that my Poppy will take care of you keep you safe, keep you loved until your daddy and I can join you. by @thatspookiegayla

16 year old me would cry happy tears seeing this.
Now I’m 28 years old, 28 weeks pregnant, and only 11 weeks away from meeting the baby I prayed so hard for.

At Home’s 2026 Halloween collection highlights the Happy Haunting theme, described as “Your traditional Halloween fare with an emphasis on ghosts.” This year includes a stronger focus on ghost themed décor compared to last year, especially with more ghost paintings that add a classic Halloween feel. The designs lean into simple, traditional spooky imagery rather than heavily themed or complex setups, making the ghost elements the main focus. The collection emphasizes a lighter, more classic Halloween style centered around ghost characters and artwork that fits a traditional seasonal look.

At Home’s 2026 Halloween collection highlights the Western Hollow theme, described as “The Cowboy Halloween trend intensifies with this theme, think skeleton cowboys, haunted saloons, and desert inspired spookiness.” The cowboy skeleton is one of the main pieces and reflects the overall style of the theme. The décor leans into a ghost town look with western elements combined with Halloween details. The pieces focus on desert tones, rustic inspired shapes, and skeleton accents to create a cohesive western themed setup. This theme stands out for combining traditional Halloween elements with a more specific cowboy inspired setting.

FUTURE DAUGHTER I want you to be comfortable in your own skin. You deserve to look in the mirror and love yourself. No woman or little girl is worth losing yourself. Be happy in your own skin and watch yourself shine.

Met the sweetest maker while she was vending at Relics in Springfield, Missouri — and I couldn’t resist grabbing this amazing crochet zombie bee for just $20! 🧟🐝💚 She also had tiny Halloween “nuggets” for $10 — spooky little cuties I instantly fell in love with. 🎃

Her Etsy shop is called Sweet as Pie, and that name fits her perfectly. She’s seriously so kind and thoughtful — she even had a tiny “non-choking hazard” sign for the mini bees! 🥹

She takes custom orders, too, so if you’re into Halloween all year (like I am), definitely check her out and support a small business that’s full of heart and creativity. 🧶🖤✨
