As July comes to an end, I’m sitting here reflecting on how it feels like just yesterday we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, renewing our vows with our babies by our side. 🥹

This year was much more low-key, but just as beautiful.
Here’s to us, Mr. R. 🥂 Thank you for 21 years of laughter, growth, love, and choosing each other through every season.

A little story…

Years ago, Shurwin Beckford invited me to audition for @mtvuk

I’d just come out of my girl band and, if I’m honest, my confidence was non-existent. I was incredibly shy and painfully insecure. He saw something in me that I just couldn’t see in myself.

I walked into those MTV studios in Camden and completely flopped the audition.

After that, I tried a few different avenues to become a presenter, but nothing ever came from them.

So I let the dream sit quietly in the background…

Fast forward to 30th June 2026.

I had a random lightbulb moment.

I love music.
I love talking to people.
So why not combine the two?

Instead of overthinking it, I picked up a microphone and a week later, on 7th July, there I was standing outside The O2, stopping complete strangers and asking them one simple question…

“Whatz your anthem?” 🎤🎶

And honestly?

I absolutely loved it.

Music really does bring people together.

If someone had told the younger version of me that one day I’d be confidently walking up to strangers interviewing them about music, she never would have believed it.

Sometimes you don’t get a seat at the table…

So you build your own.
