Over a month ago, my first draft pick arrived! 🏈

Now, let me be clear… I know absolutely nothing about football. I just know his daddy loves the Broncos, so Kerrington has been drafted into the family fandom.

And after that first half had everybody worried, they somehow pulled it together and got the win on Sunday. I was just over here taking pictures of my baby!

Not saying he’s the good-luck charm… but I’m also not NOT saying it.

Personally, I’m hoping he discovers golf. ⛳️

Introducing Kerrington Clay 💙

There are some names you choose simply because you love the way they sound. And then there are names that carry meaning, identity, and legacy.

Kerrington is his own. A name chosen for the individual I pray he will become. Confident in who he is and grounded in his purpose. His own story waiting to be written.

Clay was my father’s middle name, and giving it to my son is my way of carrying a piece of my father forward. A small but incredibly meaningful connection between the man who helped shape me and the little boy who has now completely changed me. Clay is legacy.

At 40, God saw fit to allow me to experience motherhood in a way I had hoped for, prayed for, wondered about, and sometimes wondered if I would ever know. And somehow, when the time was right, He gave me him.

My son, I am so incredibly proud to be your mother. May you grow up knowing exactly who you are, whose shoulders you stand on, and knowing that you were loved before we ever laid eyes on you.

The reveal may have been the moment, but the details?! Baby, my sisters understood the assignment. From the Winnie the Pooh-inspired decor and all the little touches to the food that had everybody going back for "just one more plate", they put so much thought, love, and intention into creating a day that felt like Baby K was already here. A huge thank you to my sisters, for pulling this together with the grandmothers, some family, friends who are like family, the event decorator, and cater.

My family and friends somehow managed to pull off the sweetest surprise, and looking back at these pictures now, it makes this day even more special.

A little late to the posting party, but some moments deserve their own little chapter. 🥹
