Birthday diary 6/20-21 🤍 PUSO & surprise bday party

Every year, my birthday looks a little different. I don’t usually like celebrating it, but this year felt incredibly special.

Words can’t fully express how seen, loved, and appreciated I feel. Life hasn’t been the same since they came into my life, and I’ll always be grateful for them.

Everyday, I learn a little more about love. A bit of that looks like this:

Being celebrated, having people show up, and including my parents (because it’s their first time living too) is something I’ve always dreamed of.

To endless surprises, laughters, homemade cheesecake, handmade poster, intentional gifts, long drives, spontaneous adventures, love through food, to having a community and great health… to everyone that pushed me to be better every day and keep life and run exciting, I - love - you 🫶🏼

Oh yeah, I’ve made it past my quarter-life crisis, picked up running and it’s staying. What’s next ? 🤭

I’ve been feeling post-race blues, I almost forgot to celebrate my (our) wins this past weekend at @cucb

PR Time: 10 miles @ 10:27 pace — 1:44:30 🏆 (even with a potty break 😂)

I’m so grateful to have my friends - @bricksrunclub cheering me on and the many others that I saw along the way 🩷 thank you for showing up and bringing the energy. Sending love to the ones I couldn’t see this weekend too 🩷 This race was definitely one to remember.

And the confetti 🥹 who popped that when I came by because that made my whole race 🫶🏼

Dump diary - Q1 2026 was filled with love ❤️ who knew life would turn out like this ?? Love, Communities, friendships, family, connections, women’s history month, celebrations… the support from everyone makes this journey on running (and life) easier. I love you all ❤️

If you told me 7.5 months ago that I’d be running a half marathon today, I wouldn’t have believed you.

I couldn’t imagine running more than 1 mile when I first started.

Day by day, miles by miles, strangers to friends, and them telling you “it’s just one more mile”

I am so deeply thankful for everyone I’ve met along this journey. Please never stop giving kudos 😂🫶🏼

I must add, to all the run clubs I’ve had the pleasure to meet amazing leaders / run with: you guys are doing an absolutely amazing thing in building communities all around. 🩷 Building and encouraging runners to keep going. We see it, we feel it. We are passing that kindness and support on to others.
