Interviewing @sam.d.stevenson 🎤

Hill Country Downhill is back with a new course and timing system for the start of the Fall series at @spidermountaintx.

The volunteers who have rallied behind the bike park over the last 6 months are keeping the park fresh and bringing some much needed upgrades to the mountain.

Look out for more updates here @thcmtb

30 FPS vs 120FPS 🛸

What’s better? 30 frames per second gives us a “TV time” look with motion blurring and a more realistic understanding of speed to the viewer. 120 frames per second allows you to slow the footage down and use it for a wider variety of post production needs, like ads.

On the @oddityrc_official Mage FPV quadcopter, you can mount an action camera, like the @djiglobal Osmo Nano, with the frame rate set to 30 fps and shutter at 1/60 for cinematic motion blur. The O3 and O4 Air Unit in your quadcopter will record in 4:3 at high frame rates like 120fps and 240fps. Use those for onboard recording, they are great for b-roll later.

Then, @gyroflow does the rest.

Texas Hill Country dirt finds every gap in a chain.

We ran the drivetrain through rock, dust, and creek crossings without a re-lube — the kind of grime that usually means a squeaky chain by lap two.

@tribofluxchainlube held up through it all.

This is the last chain lube I’m ever going to buy.

Grab yours at triboflux.com — link in bio.

We’re still getting rides in but, Texas is cooking! 🔥

What’s the hottest ride you’ve had this Summer?

Luckily, we have a place like @spidermountaintx to take the lift and then take a dip in Lake Buchanan!

@tiftongray Rider Showcase🫡

Truly a local legend, Tifton’s intro to mountain biking began in Burnet, Texas at Spider Mountain Bike Park.

His skills have progressed rapidly, from no bike experience to a HCDH Category 1 Champ in a short period of time.

He is helping to build the next generation of riders here in the Texas Hill Country and his love for the sport is fueling a very talented batch of rising stars.

We are stoked to have Tifton Gray in the Texas Hill Country MTB Homies! 🤝

Make sure to follow @tiftongray and annihilate that like button on his posts. 💥
