Becoming a pink resurrected Amy Winehouse from the future for the ‘Cr@ck’ visuals was ultra fun and bittersweet. I remembered I actually had tickets to her show in Berlin, and it got cancelled. I remember telling my Dad „We have to go because she will d!e soon“ (how crazy is that??). And then, she did. It felt unreal. To me, she’s like the tragic Marilyn Monroe of Indie Sleaze. „F me pumps“ was my anthem because I had never heard someone tell stories in such an honest, badass, c*nty way. She dared to tell it how it was, with words nobody (or from my perspective at the time, women) didn’t dare to use. Telling stories from a new perspective. She walked so we could run. And the fashioooooon… She set so many trends (I remember all the girls at my school wore a beehive and ballerinas) and is probably the prototype of what self-proclaimed marketing geniuses now call the „Halloween costume theory“ (=you’re only really a celebrity brand when people can dress up as you for Halloween and be instantly recognized). Thanks Amy, this our stupid campy little homage to you <3 Shout out to the glam team who brought Amy Winehouse to life (no pun intended): Styling: Maggi Geisler @maggi.geisler Hair: Jackie Blümel @sumikattt Make-Up: Sara Cabezas Molina @saraheadz Make-Up Assistant and master of sticky tattoos Abi @the.abinator Wig: The Options Club @theoptionsclub Nails: Tanja Gravina @nailsbygravina Photos by @nkarpouzis and thanks to @thlsp_ for filming & editing this BTS content! #amywinehouse #drag #cosplay #fashion #makeuptutorial #makeupblog #wig #wiginstallation #wigartist #indiesleaze #indiesleazerevival #behindthescenes #behindthescenesphotoshoot by @the.abinator

✊🏾 Feb 25 🎬 Hi Friends, In 28 days I feel like I have lived a year of life and I fell in love… a city covered in snow really is incredibly beautiful when you don’t need to shovel or drive 💗. It feels like half the people I love are born in Feb, so it was a very busy month of singing ‘Happy Birthday’ a little off tune by candlelight on FaceTime (did not get better just more comfortable being silly 🤪).Also it was the first Valentine’s Day I’ve had heart 💕 shaped pancakes. Celebrated Black History Month by enjoying some Ghanaian delights with my incredibly picky Indonesian darling (He loved fufu and ground nut stew and was intrigued by plantain 🥘 ). I made a new friend at cycling just at the dawn of 2025 and she returned back to London. The transient nature of this city can be say but saying விடைபெறுகிறேன் made it feel a bit better 👋🏾 . This month felt like a time when so many friends were navigating incredibly heavy junctions. The limitations of loving someone from afar felt too big. Does one ever figure this out? Professionally… I met an incredible💈hair stylist who allowed me to assist him a few times !! While I won’t bore you with all the details of all of what I have learned, but I will share that a paintbrush really is the best for touch-ups 😉. As a hair and makeup artist + filmmaker, between Fashion Weeks and Berlinale it’s so easy to slip into the violent cycle of comparing yourself and it’s usually what I do. But that didn’t happen this year. Perhaps overanalysing and spiralling over the state of my country 🇺🇸 and the general world angered me to exhaustion. I digress, super grateful to the BIPoC Alliance for creating a spaces and workshops for us… it just feels so good to feel seen and held even for the shortest time. Oh yea after living in Berlin for almost 4 years and many failed attempts I finally found myself into the Schwarze Filmschaffende group chat, I look forward to being a more active member of this community! Okay I am probably missing some bits but I end this not with incredible gratitude for this life 🥰 -Bisous 💋 Abi ps. I failed my French lingoda sprint miserably 🦜 by @the.abinator
❄️ Jan 2025 🍊 I have no major updates. I live rather quietly… simply trying to stay grounded and in love with life amidst these chaotic times. Actually I would like to share a small win. I finished my first 2 months of physio and went on my first run in over 7 months today :)! Summertime half marathon 👀 ? -Bisous Abi 💗 by @the.abinator
