Plot twist: the designer has finally become the client (ish...)

Part 1 of The Minnick Mansion remodel is progressing beautifully. Even if I am second guessing Every. Single. Decision.

It's the toilet in the closet for me.

It's giving cozy warmth ✨️

Part 1 of the Minnick Mansion reno is cruising right along. The temp wall is down, the new fireplace is framed and paint is done, but we'll get back to that because I couldn't resist showing off these floors!

Here weekend gooo!!! 🙌🏻

Part 1 of my non-intentional secret: the Minnick Mansion is getting a face-lift. Like, major.

I'm expanding the kitchen, living and dining room into the backyard, which means new cabinets, new flooring, new stucco (and of course, new stone), a new fireplace and a new guest bedroom and bath. Because why the hell not?! I'm already tackling the rest of the main floor, so I may as well just really do it all, right?!

Stay tuned to see all the details, my plan for putting it back together, and whether or not my family and I survive living here while it all goes down. We may or may not be a little looney 🤪

15 years of doing this for other people and I'm FINALLY rewarding myself with an update of my own. It feels too good to be true!

#grateful

I've been keeping a secret 🙊

I made a BIG choice to take a giant leap in 2023. I was excited and hopeful and couldn't wait to see what the future held.

Unfortunately, my excitement was very short lived and I ended up facing several of the hardest trials of my life. Health scares, friendship betrayals and potential legal battles. Talk about a punch in the gut.

To say I felt deflated was an understatement.

Fast forward almost 3 years and I'm now so very grateful for all the lessons I learned. Turns out, my dreams weren't halted, just simply placed on pause. I learned patience (which I needed!) and am stronger and more confident and even more hopeful for the future than ever before.

2026 is bright and full of excitement and happiness. I've got big things to share and a new business venture with loads of big changes coming in strong.

Stay tuned for more...

✨️ She's available for purchase!! ✨️

This is one of my most favorite design projects I've done. She has so many moments inside that make my heart skip a beat, and the clients have become great friends. I still get giddy just thinking about it.

Moral of the story: get the bid. You might surprise yourself!

Interior design is meant to be fun. However, working with a budget can be tricky. But budget design doesn't always mean boring design. Don't be afraid to at least ask. You might be surprised at what you find could actually save you money.

And always pop for the round window!
