Worship is much more than singing slow and solemn songs in church; worship is a lifestyle.

Romans 12:1 says to offer our lives to God as an act of worship. So, submitting yourself to God in your day-to-day activities is what worship truly means.

Worship is your response to God’s love. It involves not only the mouth and voice, but also your body, soul, and spirit.

The Bible says, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

Worship is simply giving glory to God through your lifestyle.

There was a season in my life when I experienced depression due to burnout. I’m naturally an active person, so when I couldn’t do much, it weighed heavily on me and made me feel low.

Instead of embracing rest, I embraced restlessness. I kept dwelling on thoughts of not doing enough while others seemed to be moving ahead.

Then one day, just as I was about to sink deeper into thoughts of being useless, it occurred to me that I had been entertaining the devil. The devil was the one supplying those thoughts, and I had been giving him room by constantly dwelling on those thoughts.

And then this truth dropped in my heart:
“The joy of the Lord is my strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).

So I started rejoicing. I began singing songs of praise. I started dancing even though it felt like there was no reason to. I forced laughter out of my bowels, and that became my turning point.

Here’s the truth:
Sometimes, it’s not the situation; it’s how we respond to it. The enemy targets your joy because he knows that’s how you draw strength, and he may use situations to try to steal it.

So what do you do?

You respond with God’s Word. The Bible tells us to “Rejoice always” (1 Thessalonians 5:16).

Rejoice through thanksgiving. Continually sing songs of praise unto God. Get up and dance. Laugh at the devil! It doesn’t have to make sense—that’s how you draw strength.

Choose the joy of God!

When life gets tough, when life gets confusing, when you begin to feel overwhelmed and don’t know what to do, what happens next?

Do we complain, carry the pain alone, or depend on people only?

The Bible tells us that when Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he walked on water. But the moment he focused on the storm around him, he began to sink. (Matthew 14:22–33)

The same happens to us. When we take our eyes off Jesus and focus on our challenges, doubt begins to grow. The moment we start doubting, we start drowning.

So in difficult seasons, keep looking at Jesus. As Proverbs 3:5–6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and in all your ways ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, and He shall direct your paths.”

Acknowledge Him, and then you receive direction.
Acknowledge Him, and then you receive clarity.

Don’t focus more on the storm than on the Savior. That’s how you get through life.

A journey through the Evangelism Series with #TheAnointedCreative

Honestly, this series stretched me.

There were nights I barely slept because I was editing, praying, and writing scripts. Some days, I didn’t even feel like showing up. Other days, I questioned if I was saying the right words.

But through it all, God kept reminding me:
“My sufficiency is of God.” 2 Corinthians 3:5

Toward the end, I fell sick and couldn’t wrap things up the way I planned to, but I’m grateful for every lesson, every prayer, every person reached, and every moment in this journey.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation…” Romans 1:16

This may be the end of the series, but not the end of the assignment.
