OPEN CALL! Heyy The Base e. V. & Filmfest Aachen are doing an exhibition together at Bunker of Art! @the.base.ev @filmfestaachen @boa_bunkerofart swipe left to find out more about it <3 what interests us: To expire means to fall out of use, to inherit a loss of access to what was once desired. Something that is expiring is commonly only for the trash – eventually. An empty object liberated from its meaning, lurking perversion, a placeholder. Subscriptions, browser tokens, job offers, stationary phones, or old childhood toys exist as our daily reminder that context is time-framed. It is this normative uneasiness that makes this mouldy term the focus of our exhibition. We showcase the art of things with supposedly no relation to us anymore, existing as a nucleus by themselves; things that have lost their meaning. Images in your phone gallery that you can't even remember anymore, a gift card no longer valid, that one message you never replied to or a school poster rotting in the shelf. Apart from pieces of your oeuvre, we invite you to submit fragments of the past, object with no previous claim of being art – to exhibit and unexpire them. ALL* forms of art are welcome!! (if you are unsure just reach out and ask us at @nik_mic @madme_15) Submit via email to: submission@filmfestaachen.de This Exhibition is part of the curated “Abseits” section at @FilmfestAachen (23-27.09) and will be part of @aachenerkunstroute (25-27.09) exhibition from 23-27.09. submission Deadline: 23.08. curated by Mariia Dvorak & Niklas Michels poster collage Mariia Dvorak key visual from FFA26 Paula Gervers @paula_grvrs <3 by @the.base.ev
