If your energy is low, it’s okay to say “no.”

We turn down plans because our bank accounts ain’t got it—but what about our energetic accounts? Don’t go into debt for happy hour. And I’m not talking financially.

Think about the things that you agree to do that you really don’t have the energy to cover. Now start thinking of ways that are comfortable for your nervous system to say “no.”

For the last 7 years, my no has been “that sounds amazing, but that’s not in my energy budget right now.” Just wanted to share my hack!

Happy healing, xo, POPChanny ✨💕 by @the.broken.cycle

When I learned that, the game changed. 💁🏾‍♀️✨💕 #HappyHealing by @the.broken.cycle

Healing has its ups and downs. Some days will be better than others, but all days are progress. Remember to keep sight of what YOU are healing for! #TBC by @the.broken.cycle

I fear I have healed so hard that I started being creative again 🥹🥰 this one day I decided to write a poem instead of crashing out. I turned that poem into two books AND a painting. I’ve since curated an exhibit from that painting. It’s happening March 2027 🤭

To stay up to date on the show and or either of the books, and anything else Bag Lady and Energy Budget related, drop any kind of bag in the comments and I’ll send you a lil somethin somethin ☺️

Happy Healing ✨ by @the.broken.cycle

Because my peace and rage co-exist at the same damn time—and there a little (humongous) fires everywhere.

I remember hearing this song for the first time at 10 years old and thinking “what does she mean by not wanting people to take this the wrong way after the Amadou Diallo situation—and who is Amadou Diallo? And what happened to them?”

NGL, I often wonder what the state of things would be if people DID take it THAT way—to destroy in order to rebuild—to rebel.

People keep asking me how I feel about things and honestly, I do have so much things to say. In short: REBEL. WAKE UP. CHOOSE WHILE YOU STILL CAN. by @the.broken.cycle

The only thing on my Energy Budget for the day. Get someone else to do it.
