Almost four years of “this is prep for the thing I actually want to do” and somehow… we’re here. 🥹

I’ve been looking forward to this specific program since I decided I was going to become a paramedic. Every course, every exam, every shift, every mildly unhinged life decision along the way has felt like part of getting here.

And now I get to actually do it.

Very grateful. Very excited. Very emotional. Very much pretending I have my shit together while meal-prepping like a woman entering battle. 😂

Paramedic school: round three, but this time it’s the one I’ve been waiting for. 🚑📚

I asked YYC if anyone had a spare TV for a 93-year-old patient of mine.

You did not just find her a TV.

You offered blankets. Craft supplies. Visits. Letters. Clothes. Multiple TVs. Cassette players. And one lovely stranger sent money so I could bring her flowers this morning. 🥹

What started as one very small ask turned into a whole lot of people wanting to make an elderly woman feel cared for.

Calgary (and Washington) you absolutely showed up. ❤️

Calgary — I need your help. ❤️

I have a 93-year-old patient who has very little social contact, and right now, no TV. Something as simple as having the news on, watching a favourite show, or just having another voice in the room could make a genuinely huge difference to their day-to-day life.

Does anyone have a working TV they’d be willing to donate? It absolutely does not need to be fancy — just functional.
