![Tao Valkar - The Wandering Jedi ✨ [Lore Entry]
#JediTaoValkar
Known as the Wandering Jedi for his many travels and endless search for ancient knowledge, Master Tao Valkar was a well-respected field archaeologist for the Jedi Order in the late Republic era.
Found by Yoda on Ord Mantell at age three, trained by Eno Cordova as his last Padawan and often visited by Cordova's good friend Qui-gon Jinn, Valkar showed great promise. inspired by his mentors, he grew into a scholar-warrior: adept in archaeology, Force techniques and a Soresu-Shien hybrid dueling style by the time he completed the Trials.
Specialized in the Old Republic, believing its lost wisdom was vital for the Jedi Order's path, he recovered major artifacts and neutralized several Sith relics.
During his pursuits he encountered many cultures (he even allied with some Mandalorians) and fought the galaxy's scum and villainy while helping those in need.
During the Clone Wars he served successfully as a Jedi General, especially when leading his battalion next to Shulak Amon --who was like a brother to him since their days as younglings. However, grown disillusioned with the war and concerned about lost relics with the growing Sith threat, he requested to return to his old profession early in 19 BBY.
With a divided Council, his request was eventually approved by Grandmaster Yoda's blessing in recognition of his expertise.
Back in the field with the galaxy still at war, his quests grew more sinister, operating mostly alone in forgotten ruins. A solitude that ultimately spared him from Order 66, forcing him to survive as a smuggler while continuing his work in secret. In time, he would seek out old allies and fight the Empire from the shadows before the Civil War.
Valkar was considered unorthodox in method and style by most of his peers, yet no one questioned his devotion to Jedi ideals. His strength in the Force was matched with a philosophical nature and a dry sense of humor.

Skilled with bow and blade and loyal to Chieftain Aragorn, Tíribor was a seasoned Ranger of the North before and during the War of the Ring.
A mere ranger to most, but a faithful guardian (which is his name meaning in Sindarin) to those who knew him.
Orphaned young after his parents' mysterious death at the Barrow-downs, he inherited little but a strange map, rumoured to be of Cardolan, glowing faintly at certain places under moon or star. With a quiet hunger for answers, he still follows its trails between ranger duties.
Those hard years taught him that evil wears many forms, and that choice, not blood, makes a man. This wisdom set him apart from some of his Dúnedain kin. As well as his outspoken fondness of common folk, a tendency to answer to his own conscience before any title or command, and sometimes dead-pan approach with dry wit.
After years of wandering the wilds of Eriador, hunting ruffians, orcs, and darker things, he grew into a renowned ranger and was trusted with duties that sometimes approached those of Captain Halbarad himself.
A well-seasoned ranger by TA 3005, while tracking an orc-trail deep into Dunland, he came upon Éofrid of Rohan. What began as a chance meeting grew into true brotherhood, and they would fight many skirmishes in the years leading up to the war.
Though unsung in the great tales, he stood ready for the Free Peoples wherever he was needed --often found at an inn between patrols with his pipe lit, nursing an ale with a book of old lore, or in deep conversation with good company.
