The theme of my summer has been water... trying to spend as much time in it and near it as possible Things it has been medicinal for: 🦢 quieting my mind 🦢 feeling connected to nature 🦢 cooling me down 🦢 bringing peace and tranquility 🦢 time spent with friends 🦢 clearing negativity 🦢 disconnecting from technology 🦢 nourishing my soul 🦢 hydrating on a cellular level by @the.healing.nest
F A C I A L A C U P U N C T U R E Our Facial Rejuvenation treatments are one of our favorites we offer.. 🧚‍♀️ Gentle & effective facial points help to stimulate the muscles to lift and relieve stuck tension 🧚‍♀️ Red light therapy while resting promotes collagen production and evens out complexion 🧚‍♀️ A delicious gua sha facial to complete the session creates lymph drainage and further tension relief (especially in TMJ and between the brows where we tend to hold more) We use products like Apoterra, Fat & the Moon, and Atone Beauty knowing our clients are receiving yummiest ingredients for their skin All are welcome to try our Facial Rejuvenation sessions and we promise to leave you melty + floaty all at the same time by @the.healing.nest
S U M M E R R I T U A L S With Summer just around the corner, we wanted to talk about our favorite Summer Rituals: 🍓 Juicy, hydrating, delicious fruits are a must — especially stonefruits (like nectarines, plumettes, and cherries) and berries 🍓 Beach days — and bringing our favorite novels with us to add to the escape 🍓 SPF? We’re here for it, but it’s also perfectly acceptable to get some Vit D on your bare skin in the less strong hours of the day to soak up the healing benefits 🍓 Playlists... We’re huge on music, and for some reason, summer has us listening to Jack Johnson radio on repeat 🍓 Hydration is so important during these hot months, be sure to be getting plenty of water, and if that’s not cutting it, add some mineral salt + lemon or slurp some coconut water down to improve water absorption 🍓 Lean into your intuition: feeling less juice in the social battery today? Choose the latter and enjoy a night in. We highly romanticize solo nights filled with self-care and rest. 🍓 Sucker for seasonal shopping? Us too... but we strongly encourage thrifting or purchasing used items online (many brand sites have the option of browsing pre-loved items - such a hack!). Not to mention how amazing it is to get a group of your close friends and have a clothing swap! 🍓 Skin-care — loving a rose hydrosol to improve hydration and smell super fresh! by @the.healing.nest
C U P P I N G T H E R A P Y We love to add fire cupping to client sessions, when tension is the main the event.. typically we see this related to stress being held in the traps / upper back / shoulders, while others may be dealing with chronic low back pain from years of wear and tear Cupping helps to remove any lingering stagnation (we recommend more than one session to create long-lasting relief) These not-so-little cupping kisses help to pull unwanted blood stagnation and help to promote new and healthy blood flow to take over — therefore, creating space where there was once tension Starting with a yummy sliding technique and finishing with a gentle stationary suction to create the most optimal results — truly melting away tension by @the.healing.nest
🧿 Y I N T A N G 🧿 The third eye point Quiet the mind, soothe anxious tendencies, bring mental clarity, and also commonly used to open the sinuses Like allowing your mind to take a deeeeep breath by @the.healing.nest

S P R I N G T I M E When I think of spring I think of nature and all of its wonders — birds chirping in the early morning, bees buzzing and humming from flower to flower, the energetic shift that we all feel, winter has ended, and the days are longer Spring at Home: 🌸 fresh flowers around your home from the market 🌸 spring cleaning / decluttering — we’re addicted to everything Koala Eco (including their Laundry wash) 🌸 change out your winter linens / bedding for lighter and more airy ones 🌸 windows open, let the fresh air flow in 🌸 hang your yummy smelling laundry to dry 🌸 new plants to tend to 🌸 adding some spring fruits to your counter 🌸 write down some spring affirmations (what are you calling in this season?) There are so many ways to tap in Spring energy 🌀🌀🌀🌀 by @the.healing.nest
W A V Y ~ B A B Y Everything comes in waves: joy, anger, bliss, glimmers, frustration, depletion — our emotions and our sensations are what make us human Let’s embrace the natural ebb and flow of this beautiful life — make each moment, every breath, every decision count 🤍🩶🖤 I’m vowing to have more moments like these: surfing and laughing with friends (preferably in warmer water temps) and just spending more time connecting with the ocean, Yin and feminine energy when I need it by @the.healing.nest
L I V E R | W O O D | S P R I N G Tend to your temple — with regular acupuncture, we can help move stuck energy As we transition from Winter to Spring (helllooo fellow Spring babies), let’s be reminded of the importance of m o v e m e n t Physically & Energetically I’m talking morning walks to move your Liver Qi... and when that’s not enough, weekly / regular acupuncture sessions to keep things flowing properly Common Liver Qi Stagnation Signs: 🌿Frequent sighing — do you huff and puff and have no idea why? Could be your Liver Qi trying to make moves 🌿Feeling on edge / irritated over minor details? Stagnant. Qi. 🌿 Do you struggle with tension in the neck and jaw, or have dull aches that better with movement and stretching? You guessed it.. Let’s work together to move Qi and balance out the system as a whole. The point you see in these slides are a magnificent way to move Liver Qi, and bring in some grounding energy — it will likely feel pretty tender, which means you’re in the right spot.. Gently press or rub in circular motions to ease these symptoms we’ve listed above! by @the.healing.nest
T R A N S F O R M 🦋 Your favorite treatment room to release, transform, and revitalize — we absolutely love creating a space for you to drop into time and time again 🦋 One of our lovely clients refers to her acu-naps as being “on pink clouds” 🦋 Now the question is... are you a treatment room 1 lover or 2? We love both for different reasons... by @the.healing.nest
