But wonder doesn’t belong only to childhood.

We can still stop. Look up. Notice the little things we’ve walked past a hundred times.

We often think of hope as something we have to find within ourselves.

Something we have to hold onto, create or work hard to keep alive.

But sometimes, hope finds its way to us.

In a stranger’s smile.

In a few unexpected words.

In someone holding the door open when your hands are full.

In a small kindness that arrives just when you need it most.

Hope isn’t always something we have to create ourselves.

Sometimes, it’s something we unexpectedly encounter.

Perhaps today, you’ll be the person who offers that kindness.

Or perhaps you’ll be the person who needs to receive it.

Either way, may we leave a little room for the unexpected good that can find us in an ordinary day.

When we’re going through something difficult, it’s easy for it to become the whole picture.

The worry. The waiting. The things we wish were different.

And sometimes, that’s all we can see.

But perhaps there’s room for something else, too.

A little kindness.

A moment of calm.

Something that makes us smile when we weren’t expecting to.

Not to make the difficult things smaller.

Just to remember they aren’t the only things that exist.

We spend so much time waiting for the extraordinary that we can sometimes overlook the little things already making our lives meaningful.

The familiar voice.

They might not change everything.

But they can change how a moment feels.

And perhaps noticing them is its own kind of gratitude.

Not because everything is good, or because the difficult things disappear, but because we allow the good things to have a place alongside them. 🤍

We often measure our days by what we got done.

But some of the things that matter most don’t look productive at all.

Making time for someone you love.

Taking a proper lunch break.

Going outside for ten minutes.

Putting your phone down.

Doing something simply because it made you happy.

Not everything worthwhile needs to be productive.

Some things are simply good for you.

And maybe those deserve to count as wins too. 🤍

After learning that we don’t have to have everything figured out, perhaps we can begin to look a little closer at what is already here.
Because hope doesn’t always arrive as a big answer or a sudden change.
Sometimes it’s the warm cup of tea.
The familiar voice.
The moment of sunlight.
The person who remembered.
The little things we might have walked straight past.

When I imagined The Hope Between, I didn’t imagine having answers for every kind of life.
I imagined companionship.
A place where we could notice the small things, tell the truth about the difficult things, and still leave a little room for hope.
