Signal Jump: A Solo Art Exhibition by So-Hee Woo

I am so so so excited to have my first solo art exhibition Oct 17 8pm-12am at The Hunt Vintage.

I can’t believe this is happening and believe me I’m hard at work preparing for all the work that will be shown. There will be iconic pieces you’ve seen online, new sculptures and maybe a limited drop 🤷‍♀️ A million thanks for your support and hope you can come see the work and share the moment with me :)

Best part of the vintage business for me is getting private tours of really amazing spaces. So imagine getting a call to come look at a mid century church from 1963! And of course, finding something really amazing! In this case a large amount of authentic Eames Chairs by Herman Miller, 1960s.

Flew to Nashville for what turned out to be the saddest sale ever! But it got me “out of the house”!! Rented a huge truck and picked my way back to Los Angeles. Had this incredible adventure with my friend Rocco! Got these amazing very rare tandem benches made in the 1960s by Arthur Umanoff. Some were in great shape but most were a bit worn. I get back to L.A. and take 3 seats to my upholstery guy of 15 years. Hand him several yards of this epic dead stock upholstery I’ve wanted to use for years!! And voila ! Incredible result. Now what colors go on the next set ?

You’re invited to a special viewing of Capa Fina’s first furniture collection, The Rising Sun.

Showing to the public on Friday, September 18th from 10am-4pm at The Hunt Vintage in Echo Park.

We’ve been working on this collection for over 3 years and are very excited, nervous (!) and proud for you to come by and take a look at each piece, made locally with solid brass and natural stone inlays, beautiful wood species and with exceptional attention to quality and detail.
