There’s something really special about a community that shows up for one of its own. 🌊📖 Last night, we gathered at the Salt Farm for an unforgettable evening celebrating @kimi_swimmy and the release of her new cookbook. An evening of stories, laughter, thoughtful conversation, book signing, food and time to connect, the night felt like so much more than a book launch. This was a celebration of community, culture, and gathering around good food and good people. Mahalo to everyone who came out and made the evening so special. One of the unexpected gifts of this job is how often I fall in love with strangers. Not in the way it sounds. I speak with most couples once, maybe twice, before being invited into one of the most intimate days of their lives. And I get to witness it all — the tenderness, the laughter, the glances, the people who’ve loved them long before this day, and the bringing together of those people. For a few hours, I’m invited into a story that’s been unfolding for years, and will be told for generations. And just like that, it’s over. But the memory remains. Right here. I fall in love with their love. Every time. Been in my own head about posting these, so here we go. I’ve loved yoga for a long time. At one point it was everything — my practice, my teaching, my whole world. And then, like a lot of things you love deeply, I needed some space from it. What I didn’t expect was finding my way back to it through a camera. Now I get to fall in love with it all over again — not from the inside, but from the outside. And honestly? There’s so much more happening than the poses. It’s the moments in between. The stillness.
