POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
We’ve welcomed so many new faces lately 👋🏼🤍so we thought we’d share a little more about how this journey began.

This lifestyle didn’t happen overnight. It took years of DREAMING then ➡️planning, budgeting & tons of trusting the process.

We share our story because we want people to know that RV life doesn’t have to look like ours. The most important thing is building a plan that fits your budget, your goals, and your version of adventure.

Thanks for following along with us… we’re so excited to have you here. 🥹

What’s the biggest thing holding you back from RV life? We’d love to hear in the comments. 👇🏼

Okay but are we the only ones who look at an RV and immediately think about everything we’d change…

We’re doing a custom build-out on a budget and a time crunch to make this RV work better for full-time travel 🚐

Team custom build 🔨 or team leave it alone 🤝?

Consider this your official warning. 🚩

Ever since we installed our @goblutech water filtration system, our hair and skin feel softer, our water tastes better, and we have filtered water wherever we take our RV.

Jokes aside, this has genuinely been one of our favourite RV upgrades. 👏🏼

We didn’t choose this lifestyle to see more places. We chose it to have more time to actually enjoy them 🙏🏼

For years, we lived in the rat race. Always working toward filling our schedules, and feeling like there was never quite enough time to just be.

When we decided to make the leap into full-time RV living, our biggest motivation wasn’t to travel as far or as fast as possible. It was actually the opposite ➡️ We wanted to slow down.

To stay somewhere for weeks instead of days. To enjoy quiet mornings without rushing into the next thing.

And while we’re still learning how to let go of that go-go-go mentality, we’re realizing that a slower life doesn’t mean a less fulfilling one.

Sometimes, it means so much more. 😩

Here’s your reminder that you don’t have to change your entire life to start slowing down. Sometimes it starts with simply giving yourself permission to do less. by @the.nomad.chapters

Who says you can’t crave adventure and a slow, cozy life at the same time? 🤎

From the outside, RV life can look like a constant adventure. ➡️ Always on the move & chasing the next destination, filling every day with activities.

But for us, the goal has always been the opposite…

We chose this lifestyle to slow down. To spend more time in places we love, explore without rushing, and enjoy the simple everyday moments in between.

We love a good mountain hike & discovering a cute little town. But we’re just as happy coming home, getting into our comfies, gaming, and having a cozy night in.

That’s the beauty of having a home on wheels. We can chase adventures without feeling like we have to be constantly on the go.

Any other traveling homebodies out there? 💗

My kind of fall night 🍂🕯️🎮

Candles lit, pumpkin pie, Hogwarts Legacy on, mountains outside and absolutely nowhere else I’d rather be. 🤎

Anyone else immediately enter their Harry Potter era as soon as October hits? ⚡️

POV: you realize some of the best camping days don’t actually require staying overnight 🏕️

We packed up the truck, loaded the cooler with chicken wings and everything we needed for lunch, and headed out for a slow afternoon by the lake. Good food, mountain views + Poppy getting to run around freely🤍

We brought along our new CRX3 fridge from @bougerv , which was gifted to us for this adventure, and I already know this is going to become a staple for our day trips + future truck camping adventures.

More days like this please. 🏔️🍂

September was honestly one of the hardest months we’ve ever had. 🤍

Between unexpectedly flying home to be there for a close friend, and then losing our Marlow, the last few weeks have really put into perspective just how precious life is.

Its so hard to grieve and figure out what life looks like without her. And I think right now, we just need to give ourselves permission to slow down.

So for the next month or so, we’re staying put. More time outside, more campfires, slow mornings, taking care of our mental health and just being together. 🤎

We’re also slowly getting excited about what’s ahead. Planning our winter in the US, getting back into creating, and putting more energy into our YouTube channel.

Cozy season came at a time when I think we really needed it. 🍂

Here’s to a softer October. 🤍 by @the.nomad.chapters

Our baby girl Marlow 🪽🤍

After a serious situation between our dogs escalated, we desperately searched for a way to keep both of our girls. But the more we learned and spoke with professionals, the more we had to accept this was much bigger than simply keeping them separated.

Marlow had been through so much in her short life. At four months old, she suffered a serious injury that led to four surgeries over eight months and eventually the amputation of her front leg. Those experiences left her with fear and trauma that followed her throughout her life.

We did training. We changed our routines. We learned her triggers. We managed her environment. We advocated for her.

We considered rehoming her to a home without animals or children. We spoke with a behavioural veterinarian about treatment, medication, management, safety, and what her future could look like.

Eventually we had to face something we desperately didn’t want to accept: Marlow no longer felt safe in her own world.

Her fear had progressed to where she was no longer safe around Poppy, and we could no longer confidently say she was safe around people either. Continuing to wait meant accepting that the next incident could result in devastating injuries to Poppy, another person, or Marlow herself.

Ultimately, we made the most devastating decision we have ever had to make — to let Marlow go.

We would rather carry the pain of wondering whether we made this decision a little too soon than live with knowing we waited one day too late.

This wasn’t because Marlow was inconvenient. It wasn’t because we were unwilling to change our lives for her. It wasn’t because we didn’t try. And it certainly wasn’t because we didn’t love her enough.

We loved her enough to spend years trying. Eventually, we had to love her enough to recognize that keeping her here because we weren’t ready to lose her wasn’t necessarily the kindest choice for her.

She was funny. Stubborn. Resilient. Unbelievably loved.

She was our baby girl.
Our family.
MY soul dog.

Rest easy, Marlow. You don’t have to be scared anymore. 🪽🤍

We got a little too comfortable relying on Google Maps… 😅

Right after we said “oh this travel day is going so smoothly …” this road turned into pothole after pothole, and then we realized there was a low bridge coming up that we definitely weren’t fitting under with our 45ft fifth wheel.

Cue trying to turn this thing around on a tiny angled side road. 🫠

Safe to say we learned our lesson about checking the route BEFORE travel days.

We shared the whole situation in our latest travel day video on YouTube ➡️ The Nomad Chapters 🎥 link in our bio by @the.nomad.chapters

Having an RV patio is fun until you realize… it comes with a few tiny baby inconvenience…

🦟 The bugs STILL find a way in
🥶 There’s basically zero insulation for cooler weather
📏 And our already 45-foot RV suddenly becomes 53 feet long when it’s open 😅

Is it practical? Debatable. Do we regret it? Not even a little bit.

The patio has easily become one of our favourite parts of our setup 🖤

We’d choose this setup every single time.

Would you want a patio on your RV? 👇
