first illustration for @cursed.relics which i’m very excited about ✨ doing book covers again because i have free will

i’m trying to actually stick to my time limit this time, so hopefully i’ll have four by the end of october! i did very minimal planning and would definitely make some different choices if i did it again, but we’re just gonna keep going 😮‍💨

the prompts for this one were •divination bones •thornblade •last king’s lyre

another one from dorneck castle, dornach 🏰 i was less happy with this one and probably would like it more if i spend more time on it, but sometimes stepping away from something you’re not enjoying is needed! when sketching you rarely like very single thing and being okay with that is a constant learning curve

another sketch from stuttgart 💛 i don’t usually post so much of myself and personal photos on this account, but i’m giving it a go because i always like getting to know other artists- let me know if you prefer this or my corporate self 📇

i’m back from the dead and have some live sketching and photos from stuttgart as an offering 🤲 i originally planned to post my sketches as i went, but life got the better of me and i decided to make the most of my time with my long-distance friends instead 💛

tried acrylic markers for the first time and i get the hype 😩 they’re so satisfying to work with and make sketching with vibrant colors super easy

what mythical animal/hybrid animal should i draw next?

watercolor tutorial for all who fear that metal texture 😮‍💨 pro tip: keep it loose and don’t worry about perfection. metal is so reflective that it doesn’t always behave exactly how you expect—as long as it has the overall look, our brains believe it!
it’s all about the illusion of detail: faraway it looks super detailed, but when you look closely, it’s pretty loose painting

Earlier this year, I had the absolute pleasure of being commissioned by the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship for a poster design!

Communicating with @taras.community on feedback from Tina Roth Eisenberg, and others from the Adobe Creative Collective, contributed a lot to my professional experience with communication, tight deadlines, and collaboration. I will always be thankful to @chiuk.a for reaching out and for pairing me with my mentor for the second part of the Apprenticeship!

Working on this poster design for Adobe’s 99U conference for creatives was a delight- having other creative people see my work inspired the ideas behind the design. It’s been nice to get back into Photoshop and see how much I’ve grown as an artist in the past few years. I just wish I could have seen it in person yesterday!

and we’re back with another collab! it was a lot of fun working on this Namor cover, especially since i’ve been in my fanart era recently 🔱🌊 i used two brushes and the lasso tool for the whole thing so if you haven’t tried the lasso tool, this is your sign!

everyone has been so sweet in the multiverse chat and it’s been awesome to see everyone’s work so go check some more out as they get posted every day at #xmencovercollab
