Escaping from reality through books

Let's be friends and talk about books 💙

POSTS STORIES REELS

Thank you so much @boundedinink for organising this event and @dmhenderson_author for joining us 💙

It was so interesting listening to an author talk about their passion and process. The behind the scenes stuff of writing, the publishing process, cost and different companies/websites used, the cost of an audiobook blew my mind 😅

Was so excited to see I got a copy of Storm by R.A.Raine and it's definitely on top of my TBR... After I read Finding Northlane because after hearing how passionate the author is about the story and where they want to take it in the coming years I needed to join for the ride!

Will definitely be interested in doing an event like this again next year, loved it was local and only a 15 minute drive from home not a 3hr train ride to Sydney 😂🙏 by @the.quiet.book.dragon

Thank you @craftedbyfelixx for my little present from @boysfromthebookshelf 💙
Feeling a little called out on my TBR list but definitely accurate 😂🙏 by @the.quiet.book.dragon

Come with me for a little look at the newest selection at Big W 💙

I was very tempted to buy the special editions but I need to read some of the backlog before buying new books, even if they are gorgeous 😍😭 by @the.quiet.book.dragon

Looking after my parents dogs this weekend... Have to make sure when I leave the house I hide my book somewhere so it's safe from Bruno.

See previous posts to see the destruction this dog has caused 😅 by @the.quiet.book.dragon

Big W has a few Books half price again so you know I picked up a few
Some I've been eyeing off for a while and others are newer but some awesome buys for $9 💙

Bookish Mail from @natsbooknook_ 💙

Am I going to actually use these bookmarks? Of course not they are too beautiful

The ToG bookmark set is GORGEOUS and I'm so happy with them! One of the metal bookmarks is from the Duskwalker series by @@opalreyne and the other is from Crescent City series by SJM by @the.quiet.book.dragon

Should I be buying more books?
No I really shouldn't 😅
BUT this order only cost me $60 in total, shipping and I added on a WTMH bookmark 💙

When we ask for a Special Edition book this is what we want! Gorgeous endpaper artwork, different for front and back, beautiful character art, sprayed edges.
Plus Fated Ink had signed stickers, bookmarks and a double sided character art print

Sadly she's a little banged up around the corners but just means I won't feel too precious about taking it out of the house 😅

I've heard really good things about this book so I think I'm going to start this after my current read.

If you've already read this book please no spoilers but tell me something I'll understand once I've read it

What better way to end the day then to unbox bookmail?

@boundedinink is a new Aussie Book box company that I decided to try out. They have a few different subscription levels and I chose Moonlit Essentials this month. It includes 6 goodies (snacks, self care products, socks) 1 paperback and 1 hardback special edition book.

Value for money this box is amazing! I've already nibbled on the peanut brittle and tried the lip balm 💙

A Language of Dragons has been on my radar for a while so I'm thrilled to have received it
Sadly I already own a copy of The Ordeals but if no one in my bookclub wants it maybe it's a good chance for my first giveaway? 👀

Thank you so so so much to everyone at the Bounded in Ink team who packed and delivered my box. I think I'm going to try the Indie Authors box for next month and see what different books are in that one 🙏

So someone got a bit bored the other day while no one was home

Luckily this book is a collection of short stories so mostly it's still readable, The last one is definitely a mystery with no resolution however

Newly released and spotted at Kmart Kotara 💙

I've been so excited to get my hands on these books. They sold out at all Big W stores near me but found them at Kmart luckily 🙏 by @the.quiet.book.dragon

Sadly I wasn't in love with what I picked for my next read but this sounded cute and Booktopia was having a sale. Meant to be 💙

Sooo... I finished The Ballad of falling Dragons...

Obviously I'll keep this spoiler free but GODS the last 100 pages had me by the throat!

Amazing plot twists that I didn't always see coming, intriguing new creatures and magic introduced, heart warming and heartbreaking moments with our beloved characters 💙

So many theories on what it all means and what might happen in the next and final book.
Heartbreaking we'll all be waiting at least another year for the rest of the story but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait 🙏
