Some call it slowing down.
We call it tuning back in.
The Re-Connect Club isn’t another trend - it’s a movement.
A place where words, rituals, and reflection feel like second nature.
It’s about choosing less noise, more meaning.

Less scrolling, more feeling.

I’m Clarissa, founder of The Re:Connect Club & CbyClarissa.

Words & writing saved my life and got me to re:connect to who I really am. In a time when I couldn’t untangle my own thoughts, or understand my emotions, the power of words, helped me heal. They continue to do so.

My vision & mission is to create a space for those seeking more connection, a space for those who are trying to understand themselves a bit better, for those that already do, or for those that want to start and don’t know how.

To remind people, that in amongst it all, we’re not alone. That, together, wrapped in words, our emotions are shared.

This is a space for slowing down. And Re:Connecting through the power of words. Small daily habits. Moments that connect us.

A simple phrase can change your perspective.
A single word can change your mood.
A single connection with something or someone, can change your life.

The Re:Connect Club is part poetry, part journal, part prompts, part quotes, part mood board, part feeling, part lifestyle. All wrapped up in one place, for some daily inspiration.

Call it self help, or whatever you want. But I call it re:connecting.

When I’m feeling overwhelmed and stuck in my head, these 3 things help me:

Write it all down. A full brain dump. Externalising your thoughts reduces activity in your amygdala, the part of your brain triggering the stress. It literally calms your nervous system.

Then get up and change your environment. Walk. Move. Breathe. Your brain cannot stay stuck in the same thought loop when your body is moving. That’s neuroscience.

Then ask yourself.
What is one thing I can do right now that moves this forward?
One small action shifts your brain out of threat state and back into forward thinking mode.

Motion creates clarity. Every time.

Try it and tell me how it goes 👇

Sometimes it’s on the phone to my best friend.
Sometimes it’s on paper.

The unhinged new business ideas.
The founder diary meltdowns.
The tiny identity crisis.
The happy thoughts.
The angry ones.
The goals.
The visions.
The affirmations.
The “what the fuck am I doing with my life” thoughts.

All of it.
Out of my head.
Onto the page.

Because writing shit down doesn’t have to be precious, perfect or poetic.
Sometimes it’s just how you sort the noise.

Hear yourself properly.
And reconnect to what’s actually going on underneath it all.

So yeah.
Get it out of your head.
Write shit down.

Tag your people. Your connections.

The ones who get the voice notes, the ‘am I insane?’ checks, the 11pm business ideas, the hard truths, the ugly laughs and the real version of you.

Because recently, my gratitude for my friendships, the ride or dies, has exploded beyond belief. My connections are my life line.

Connection to self shows up in its own ways. But sometimes you need your external connections to help you get there or remind you.

Connection isn’t just being around people. It’s about being around the right people who bring you back to yourself.

And that, that’s the kind of connection we’re here for x taken in Perth, Western Australia by @the.reconnect.club

Quotes I’m living by in 2026 because honestly, I’m done arguing with myself and my mind.

Some of these are soft reminders.
Some are tiny reality checks.
Some feel like a slap from the version of me who is tired of watching me overthink, self-sabotage, procrastinate, people-please, spiral, and then call it “processing.”

So I’m keeping these close this year.
For the days I forget what I’m building.
For the moments I start shrinking again.
For the times I need to come back to myself, my standards, my energy, my discipline, my purpose.

Save this for the version of you who needs the reminder later.
Send it to the friend who is also trying to choose herself properly this year.
Tag someone who needs one of these quotes tattooed onto their brain.

And tell me in the comments: which quote hit you the hardest? x taken in Gibney Cottesloe by @the.reconnect.club

Sometimes the answer isn’t out there, it’s in there.

These are 5 questions I come back to when I feel disconnected from myself. When my head is loud. When I’m saying “I’m fine” but my body, my mood, my patterns, my energy are saying something else.

1. What keeps coming up because I keep refusing to look at it properly?
2. Where am I saying “I’m fine” when I’m actually not?
3. What is one thing I can do today that feels like choosing myself again?
4. What do I actually want to be true?
5. Where am I abandoning myself?

Because writing things down has never just been about journaling for me.

Yes a call to your bestie is great. But our brains were not meant to be a group chat with 32 tabs open.

A lot of the time, we listen to another podcast, another opinion, we ask ‘what do you think I should do?’

And actually, we just need 5 minutes with ourselves. To debrief our own thoughts.

Ask yourself the question, and write it down on paper. Just write. Random and rogue and real.

Some real ones from me to you this weekend.

Whether life is throwing you curveballs, good or bad, or you’re stuck in cruise control. Read these. Take 5 minutes. Write the answers. Clear your thoughts and hear what is really going on up there in your wonderful mind.

This is why I say: write more sh*t down.

Studies have linked journaling and expressive writing to:
•	42% higher likelihood of achieving written goals
•	20–45% reduction in anxiety and depressive symptoms
•	up to 40% lower stress
•	20–23% improvement in memory retention

Because when it’s all living in your head, it loops.
When it’s on the page, you can see it.

You can question it.
You can process it.
You can plan from it.

You can finally do something with it.

Comment JOURNAL to get on the PRE ORDER waitlist for my very own 90 day guided journal. Trust me it works.
