My first Regency gown I made for the 2021 Jane Austen Festival in Louisville, KY. Using patterns by Laughing Moon and Black Snail along with material from my stash, I was able to whip together 2 complete outfits for myself as well as an entire suit for my partner just in time for the event! This event no longer exists sadly, but I hope to attend other Regency events in the future.

Happy #milinerymonday (a bit late) 👒 A few years ago I took a straw hat class by the wonderful @dws.studio.millinery where I decided to make an 1870's straw bonnet. I am pretty happy with my first attempt but will definitely be trying my hand at more in the future! Finished product as well as progress shots and inspo.

Happy #WIP Wednesday! I have finally started working on my late Victorian historical wardrobe! I created a mock-up and, after making a few adjustments, think I'm ready to start cutting out fashion fabric! I'd love to make a fancier version with some lovely silk satin and embroidered details but I think this first one with be a functional piece so I'll be using more material from my stash.

My 1780's split bum! This is the final piece of undergarments needed for my 18th century gown. I used the the American Duchess Guide to 18th Century Dressmaking again. Stuffing with real feathers was quite the messy task but, overall it turned out great. Blog post and video now up if you want to see the process!
