Hi everyone!!! 💗✨🦋It’s HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! 🌸💖💋Thank you to everyone who brought this thing to life, it’s been such a genuine pleasure to put all these pieces together and make something we’re really very proud of.

Big thank you to Dan Horne, who hosted us, made margs with us, and made these 10 songs sound so dimensional and gorgeous in a way really only he can. I really cherish the week we spent recording this album with you. Give Randy / Bubu a treat or a cuddle or something from me.

Thank you to Mickey Miles for the amazing art. You really captured the spirit of these songs and the thought and care you put into creating this little cartoon universe is something that will always make me smile!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to Gruff and Andrew - who are about 4,726 miles (or 7,606 km) away from Seattle, in Wales, a place that I’ve grown to love, appreciate, and miss! You two are creating a specially community of some of the most kind and genuine people I’ve gotten to meet over the last year. I feel really lucky to be part of your family! I look forward to hanging out together again soon, but until then, I’ll see you on Whatsapp. (Honestly, that’s such a great name for that app.)

I could really keep going on this... so I will.

Thank you to all the DJs playing these songs. Not to be dramatic but I love everything about radio and it means the world that there are people that wanna play these songs on it. @djcherylwaters @iaanhughes @gregvandy

okay i can’t fit it all in the caption - continuing this in the comments.

Hi everyone! This Friday at The Ecology Center I’ll be playing mostly original set of music that I’ve written inspired by Richard B. Simon’s new novel, The Dolphin Ambassador’s Daughter. It’s been an interesting experience writing this set of music and so much fun to perform 🥰 Here’s a snippet of the opening of my set that I snapped in the Redwoods this morning - I start it off with a little bit of a My Bubba song called Our Water Hours and then go into a song about the inevitability of things once spoken or thought… and then some:) After my set, Isaiah Mitchell will play some music, also inspired by the book, and Rich will read while Isaiah accompanies him. I think it’s going to be a really great night!

Hi everyone!!💖Just hopping on here to say that this week I’m going to play a few super special shows ✨ I’ve written a small set of songs around Rich’s novel that came out last week!! This is the first time I’ve ever created a set of songs around another body of work and it’s been a really layered🌀 and interesting🐋 process 🤓🌀 I’d like to try this with another thing maybe again soon. These shows are going have some ocean style lights and readings from Rich and some of my legit favorites playing sets and also adding music to the readings. I can’t really explain it - except that we’re trying to recreate an underwater world from a whales perspective kind of thing. So these aren’t your usual shows and feel more like a play or something like that. I’m really excited to be part of these nights💙💙💙💙💙💙🫍🦭🌊 they’re going to be weird and cool in a really good way and if you like to read and think you will probably have a really interesting time!! 🐋🦭🫍

In Oct The Shakdowns will be opening 2 nights for Izaak Opatz in Seattle & Bellingham and then we’re headed to the UK for some shows!!!!! SQUEEEEEEE!! 🥰 by @the.shakedowns
