The Ardvorlich 152kg

Every stone lifter has that one stone that they build a bond with. This one is mine. I've visited this stone now a total of 6 times over 4 maybe 5 years. And its eluded me each visit.

But not today

Today was that day. Today was my day

Such an emotional moment. 🥹

This is what it's all about. The high from that is better than anything.

This was the height of the trip so far 🇮🇸🪨

The latra stones Alsterkur stone 177kg

I attempted this stone about 9 times I was freezing 🥶 cold bout ready to call it a day defented ☹️

How could you fail. Took myself off for a jog to warm up and gather my thoughts. I took myself off to collect my thoughts and visualize and relive my side by side Dinnie lift and the that people believed in my abilities. And @lamb_rover gave me the strength that day.

@mattostonesjones and @highlandwolf_strength fueling the fire 🔥 giving me the energy and strength.

I knew I couldn't give up I had to give it everything. I wanted to quit so many times during the lift.

But I managed to pull it off

That feeling is like nothing else absolutely buzzing. Absolutely epic 😍 I love it sharing this experience with your best friends just makes it all the more epic

What a week 🥹😍

So Tuesday was my date with destiny

My side by side dinnie stone lift 188kg and 144kg 332kg tota

Smashed the training up until my peak then it all went to shit, I got inside my own head and was talking myself out of it everyday up to the lead up.

But luckily i have have the greatest friends that any one could ask for. that believed in me. And sometimes that's all you need.

The friends that came to watch and those that turned up as a surprise me on the day 😍 still can't believe it. The stone lifting community is just one of the greatest

Surround yourself with Great people and great things will happen 💪

The lift was like nothing I'd experienced in training the blood pressure was next level. I'd of liked to have held it for a second longer at the top but the lights were going out 😂

But I'll take it

The mind is a power thing. The body can do great things if the mind believes 💪🥹

Had an absolute blast this evening

Few hours on the bank with this legend we had such a laugh and court more than a fair few carp in the time we were there

Was we prepared nope did we make it absolutely

Some of the action from today's @iawa.uk comp up at Preston hosted by the legendary gentleman @haydockmark

Single arm lifts one hand snatch, one hand clean and jerk and the one hand deadlift. Managed to nudge the record on the one hand clean and jerk.

Then a few record attempts after the comp on the Ciavattone deadlift at 220kg and a 167.5kg Fulton deadlift really pleased with these

I think the 148kg is my new favourite stone. Found all the lighter ones before hand super challenging

But this was a grand we lifted 💪 or maybe I tried Extra hard because @chloebrennanx was supporting 💪

Absolutely made up with this purchase 😍

Spent so many hours listening to random cassettes and the charts that I had taped as that was the only way to get the latest tunes.

This one came with a random tape of the charts from 1986 I couldn't believe it.
