A little fall fashion field trip for The Suite List 🍂✨

I spent last night at the @kimberlyboutique Fall Fashion Show, and these were some of the looks that had me paying attention.

A few things became VERY clear coming down that runway: chocolate brown is having a moment, texture is everywhere, faux fur is most definitely back outside 😏 and citron might just be the pop of color I didn’t know I needed this fall.

And the range! Formal gowns, denim, street style, athleisure… proof that fall fashion doesn’t have to mean one particular “look.”

These are a few of my favorites from the night. Which one are you wearing? 👀

And yes… your girl may have done a little post-show “research” of her own. More on THAT later. 🙈😂

Are clothing memberships becoming a thing of the past? Because I really had an alarm on my phone reminding me to SKIP THE MONTH. 😂
Fast forward to me canceling my Fabletics membership… only to find the Teddy jacket I’ve wanted forever in colors I don’t remember seeing at Costco for under $40.
No membership. No monthly reminder. Just add to cart. 😂
Maybe we’ve evolved.
P.S. I got the purple. Obviously. 💜

🎂 THE SUITE LIST IS ONE!

A year ago, I hit publish on this little idea I’d been carrying around in my head: what if I took all the researching, comparing, list-making, dressing-room investigating and “lemme see if I can find that cheaper” energy I already use in my own life…and shared it?

And here we are. 🥹

One year of lists. One year of finds. One year of trying things on so you don’t have to. One year of wandering TJ Maxx and Marshalls aisles in the name of research. 😂 One year of talking about clothes, beauty, travel, bags, life and all the little things girlfriends would dissect over coffee anyway.

The best part has been slowly figuring out what The Suite List actually is.

It’s not about buying more stuff.

It’s about finding the right stuff. Knowing what works for you. Spending your money better. Making life a little easier. And sharing what we learn along the way.
Thank you to everyone who has read a post, opened a Substack, saved a list, shared something, followed along or messaged me to say, “Girl, I bought it.” 😂💕

You helped turn an idea into a real little corner of the internet that I absolutely love.

Year One was about starting.

Year Two is about BUILDING. 👀

Three days. Approximately 47 outfit combinations. One minor wardrobe spiral. 😂

We finally landed on burgundy lace + black lace + flat sandals for Bruno Mars…and then I walked into Gillette, bought a concert tee and promptly put it on.

And you know what? It was perfect.

Fashion lesson of the weekend: plan the outfit, but leave room for the night to style itself. ✨

Also, Bruno was UNREAL. No notes. ❤️

I’ve been quietly documenting the fall bag situation at @tjmaxx + @marshalls and the racks have spoken. 🍂👜

Bamboo handles are EVERYWHERE. Chocolate brown is doing exactly what chocolate brown should be doing and calf hair + animal print have entered the chat in a very serious way. 🐆 Let’s be honest, did they ever leave?!

And some of these are already hitting the RED TAGS?! 👀 🔴

I’ve seen everything from little statement bags to big slouchy shoulder bags, structured satchels and some genuinely good leather finds — including that @mansurgavriel hiding on the last slide for $399. 😮‍💨

This is exactly why I take my time. I’m not necessarily buying but I AM looking, touching, checking labels, clocking prices and figuring out what the racks are telling us about the season ahead.

My fall bag report so far:
🤎 Brown is firmly in.
🎋 Bamboo handles are having a MOMENT.
🐆 Animal print + calf hair are not being shy.
🏷️ And always, ALWAYS check the red tags.

July had PLANS, okay?! 😂🎷✨🌴

Concerts, festivals, brunches, Bermuda nights and everything in between — which meant I actually got dressed, got outside and gave my closet a proper workout.

A few of the looks I loved enough to photograph… and a friendly reminder that sometimes the best thing to shop is your own closet. 💅🏽

My weekend itinerary is pretty simple:

✔️ Body Pump
✔️ A little sunshine
✔️ “Just one quick stop” at Marshalls & TJ Maxx

Y’all already know how that story ends. 😂

One minute I’m minding my business… the next I’m falling in love with bags, trying on shoes, flipping through books, convincing myself I need another swimsuit, and saying, “Ooooh, now that’s cute!” every five minutes.

Some of these finds came home with me.

Some stayed behind for the next lucky shopper.

And honestly? That’s half the fun. A good Marshalls browse is like a treasure hunt—you never know what you’re going to find, but you know you’re going to have a good time looking.

My packing strategy has changed over the years.

Not because I’ve stopped overpacking (let’s not get carried away 🤣), but because I’ve learned the difference between packing for a vacation and packing for family.

The older I get, the more I realize travel isn’t about bringing everything.

It’s about bringing enough.
