〰️ it’s been a while between ‘its me, hi’ posts so - it’s me (nicola), hi! now I won’t bore you with random facts about things like my unrequited love for coffee, or that I’m slowly becoming known for my relentless attempts to convert (bully) my nearest and dearest into a tequila-lovers cult. I can, however, use said converting capabilities when it comes to creating visuals that get you a solid ROI — did somebody say, transferrable skillzzz ??? while this is my fifth year as a product photographer, I’ve also spent another (long-enough-to-get-to-long-service-leave) lifetime in primary teaching and a hot second studying graphic design. who cares? you do. because ex-teacher means I’m no stranger at backwards-mapping aka, getting something from concept to campaign with master-level efficiency. it also means I love a yap (tell me all of the how/why of your brand and visions and I’ll never get sick of it), and from years of sending weekly class newsletters - I also know how to keep y’all wellllll informed throughout a project. in a nutshell? you’re getting a full brand-debrief, incredible assets for every touchpoint across your brand, an overenthusiastic cheerleader AND a newfound tequila education??? no brainer. 〰️ part of the creative process is hearing from the creative strategist (hi, me!) I see the same references week in week out and sometimes they’ll work phenomenally with your brand and other times, I’ve got other ideas to make your brief even better, to get your brand further, faster. I say to last a quarter if not two, but really it’s as long as you’re willing to get creative with the base assets I give you. I have quarterly clients, monthly clients and even have some that come to me for one big annual campaign shoot and that lasts them 12 months among the rest of their content pillars before they need me again! 〰️ one of my favourite things as a product photographer is a really specific brief for a really specific marketing angle. for this one we were aiming for a little bit of editorial, but still on brand for the styling we do each month, while pulling in a bit of the science/data angle. I used AI to pull together a clinical research style mockup, that was a little bit serious + little bit off the cuff to show that we weren’t showcasing the *literal* data collected but also that these products are damn good!
