Two years is crazy!

When @PhillyTrackJawn first started, the idea was simple…

How can we create a space that’s truly representative of the city of Philadelphia?

Yes, there are a ton of amazing community groups in Philly, so how could we not only create a vibe, but also a meaningful resource for the community?

How can we help people become faster, stronger, more engaged athletes?

Since July 9, 2024, I’d like to believe we answered those, and many more questions that I wont bore y’all with…

Specifically, this past year has been amazing.

In addition to being at the track 50 of 52 Tuesdays and 35 Thursdays in the year (shoutout @rio.boomin and @rich_with_gritty_words for EVERYTHING), we’ve also created a free swim program to get our community in the water as part of our launch for @phillytrijawn (shoutout to @mind_changa, and @fitnessalivephilly the crew), hosted free yoga class to help runners recover (shoutout to @i.shan.te), supported three community members as they became certified run coaches through @rrcanational, hosted two interns with four more starting next week, sponsored four young people to participate in local meets as part of our @nextgen_trackjawn launch, collaborated with friends that work for brands and/or have built community spaces to expand our (and their) reach, organized races like @thefnr10k, @the215k, @nyeartrun, and my favorite, @runninonbusiness.

All of that, and we’re honestly just scratching the surface 😏😅🙃

So thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you for every show up, every lap, every run, every conversation (even the ignored messages 😅)…every choice.

None of it goes unnoticed. None of it is unappreciated. And all of it is a lesson learned!

I truly love you all, and want you ALL TO WIN!

Can’t wait to see what y’all do for year’s to come.

Video recap of the inaugural 21.5k starting & ending in North Philadelphia 🏙️📸✨

Route highlights!!
- Running by the famous metal palm trees in El Bloque de Oro 🌴🇵🇷
- Seeing the Ben Franklin bridge
- Passing Independence Hall🔔
- MLK Drive while it’s closed to traffic 😍
- Boxers Row in Strawberry Mansion 🥊

The weather was perfect, the vibes were high & the support at the finish line made this one of the best races I’ve ever done in Philly.

S/o all the different run clubs and individuals who turned out for this event. It was a day of community, fun, and personal limits being tested <3

Yesterday @phillytrackjawn granted me the privilege of leading the 9-11 min #pacegroup for the @the215k #HalfMarathon [13.3 miles] The goal in mind was to ensure we all reached our time goal so I knew I couldn’t let down 🙌 Thank you to my team for encouraging and supporting me as much as I was able to encourage you! We had a time goal in mind, and we accomplished just that, right on pace ⌚️💎 More importantly, we all came out, believed in ourselves and had a great time!

This race was a non sanctioned race designed to celebrate the culture and history of our beloved city of Philadelphia and all of its inhabitants. Running @21.5k was more than medal chasing, we showed up & ran 13 miles for that part of ourselves no one recognizes, for the struggles no one sees, we showed up for the #LOVE we have for ourselves, our community and #Life itself.

I appreciated getting to DJ the @phillytrackjawn @the215k race. Everyone did their thing running a half-marathon through the streets of North Philly and Center City! Loved seeing my folks from different run clubs and helping to set the vibes. Big up @labnek215 and others for the fire photos! by @the215k

Running the @phillytrackjawn @the215k was a total vibe and I am all for it 🙌

Good people, good energy, beautiful route, and that feeling of the running community coming together for something bigger than just pace and finish times.

Sometimes the smaller community races end up leaving the biggest impression.
