we didn’t expect the last “Someday I’ll Be Alright” post to resonate the way it did, but reading your comments meant a lot to us. it’s really special to see the 502s community growing into a place that celebrates happiness in all its forms… from jumping around together at shows to simply surviving a hard day. it’s a reminder that a lot of us are carrying the same feelings, just at different points along the road.“Someday I Will Be Alright” actually started in a very different place. early on, it was faster, louder, a little more rambunctious - closer to something like “Ain’t Nobody’s Problem” by the Lumineers. But the more we sat with it, and with what the lyrics were really trying to say, the more it softened. it slowly turned into something more reflective, more hopeful… almost like an Avett Brothers-esque perspective on what’s ahead.somewhere along the way, it stopped being about chasing something better and started being about recognizing there’s good right where you are. by @the502s

everything will be ok :) ‘someday I’ll be alright’ is about holding on when life feels heavy, about the quiet battles no one sees, and the hope that somewhere ahead of you, things soften and make sense again. it reminds me that healing isn’t loud or fast. sometimes it’s just waking up, breathing through it, and trusting that the weight won’t last forever. it’s about believing in a version of myself that feels peace again, even if you haven’t met them yet. keep going…one step, one moment, one deep breath at a time.📹: @andrsn.photos by @the502s
