Happy CSA Week! 🌱 We’re excited to announce that Summer & Fall 2026 Veggie Shares are available now!

We scrambled like busy beavers 🦫 to get these shares live in time. We’re still working out a few kinks, confirming a few locations, and finalizing details for our new FRUIT SHARES 🍎 (more soon!), but all you early birds 🪱🐤 can go ahead and sign up for a Summer and/or Fall Veggie Share now!

PLEASE NOTE: Add-on items and shares (meat, eggs, flowers, fruit, and lots more) will be available for summer and fall subscriptions nearer to our first delivery on June 2. Please only sign up for the veggie shares for now and stay tuned!

Also, our costs have been increasing steadily over the last several years and we’ve held off passing that on to our members. If you pay up-front for the whole season, the cost will be the same as 2025, but if you pay-per-delivery, there is a small increase. Our sliding scale discounts remain the same and we will be updating soon with info about our CSA is a SNAP options!.

We look forward to feeding you all!

Thanks so much for all the support and great ideas from @hudsonvalleycsa and @csa_innovation_network!

Today, September 18, CAA hopes to raise $5,000 through our friends at @mvgives to support our cost-adjusted SNAP and Solidarity Shares for The 607 CSA!

So far this season, the 607 CSA has provided 33 SNAP shares and 18 Solidarity shares to our neighbors, helping make locally grown food affordable and accessible while keeping those dollars circulating among the small farms who grow that food in our region.

This year, as food assistance and funding for local food systems have been cut, we’ve continued offering discounted and fully subsidized vegetable shares and add-ons rather than passing those cuts along to our community. To date we’ve contributed over $7,000 towards these shares.

Hunger is not a failure of food supply. There are farmers taking on the enormous expense of growing food who are looking for local markets and neighbors who need affordable access to the food we are growing.  Programs like SNAP and our Solidarity Shares help connect the dots.

On September 18, during Mohawk Valley Gives, we’re asking our community to help us raise $5,000 to keep those connections going through the rest of the year.

Your contribution helps a neighbor eat well, helps a local farm get paid the value of their labor, and helps build a regional food system designed to take care of us all.

Please consider helping us reach $5,000.

A decade is a long time to keep a farm running, a CSA going, and a community fed. We’re still here. We are proud of our persistence and grateful for everyone who has helped make it possible.

Here’s a look at what we accomplished together in 2025.

You can take a look at our full 2025 Annual Report on our website (link in bio).

Catskills Agrarian Alliance is more than a food hub. More than a nonprofit. We grow food for our community. We connect farms to local markets, schools, and mutual aid networks. We keep land in community hands. This is what farmer-led food sovereignty looks like in practice.

When farmers succeed, communities eat. When communities invest, farmers stay on the land. We are rebuilding regional food infrastructure, and we need your help to continue. Visit the link in our bio to get involved by volunteering, donating, and helping us spread the word about our work! by @the607csa

Access to fresh, local produce has often been limited for students and families across the Southern tier region of New York.

Catskills Agrarian Alliance (CAA), collaborated with the Schenevus CSD, to provide 6 weeks of School-Sized CSA shares, consisting of 7-10 items of sustainably-grown seasonal produce, and one day of student Taste Tests, to the Schenevus Central School District’s 236 students. Local food purchasing in NY schools has grown steadily over the last several years thanks to state-wide policy that financially incentivizes NY purchases and an increase in the number of farm to school coordinators statewide. This program strengthened community health as well as created connections between students and local farms providing fresh and sustainably-grown foods to their school cafeteria. Staff had the opportunity to prepare food items they might not typically use.

The project connects students and local farms, cultivating a mutually beneficial relationship that provides access to healthy food and supports local family farms.

Gael Roots Community Farm is collaborating with Finca Seremos and the 607 CSA to host a weekly market style CSA pick up at Gael Roots’ Farm Stand on Wednesdays from 4:30-6pm, June 10th through November, 2026!

The first CSA is scheduled for June 10, 2026 and it will run weekly through November, 2026.

Our neighbors and collaborators @fincaseremos will be growing the delicious produce. Folks will have the option of adding on dairy, eggs, maple syrup, honey, etc. made available through the collaboration with the @the607csa and other area farms.

When we were approached about being a pick up spot for a CSA we jumped on it because of the ways this can support food access. They offer sliding scale prices, and a 50% discount for SNAP/EBT.

Sign up on Finca Seremos’ website. Select “Become a Member” and choose your pick up location as Gael Roots Farm. Please note that because of the Market Style CSA, only FULL SHARES are available. If a full share is too much for you, consider sharing it with friend or neighbor! To make this pickup spot available we have to reach a certain number of members so please share this info. By purchasing a share you are also helping support expanded food access while eating veggies all season!

Click the link in our bio to learn more or go to www.gaelrootsfarm.org/csa for specifics on this location by @the607csa
