Venice! Yay 🙌 I haven’t posted for a while but wanted to say how lovely it is to be participating in this exhibition which is now open as part of the wider Venice Biennale. It’s a print of my 13000 hand woven glass beads spelling out ‘Eat the Rich’ in morse code dots (cookies) and dashes (hotdogs). Thanks to the lovely @thisisamyjackson for her wonderful curation and hard work as ever. And also exciting to have my fellow @62group artist @meilock showing alongside me. Here’s some more about the ethos behind this exhibition:

UNSEEN - Seeing Differently brings together predominantly women artists from diverse cultural backgrounds whose work reveals the hidden relationships that shape our understanding of the world.

Across painting, sculpture, installation, photography, film, performance and conceptual practice, the exhibition uncovers overlooked histories, ecological connections, cultural memory and alternative ways of knowing.

Presented during the 2026 Venice Biennale and in dialogue with its theme, In Minor Keys, the exhibition suggests that profound change often begins through quiet acts of observation and revelation.

By bringing concealed narratives and unexpected connections into view, UNSEEN - Seeing Differently invites audiences to see beyond dominant histories and imagine new possibilities for our shared future.

Last couple of days to catch ‘Cliff Edge: Textile Art on the Brink’ @cromerartspace Norfolk.

Cliff Edge captures the precarious moment where textile art stands today: between tradition and innovation, craft and concept, material and message. Like the literal cliff edge of Cromer – where land meets void, and stability gives way to erosion – this showcase explores how textile artists confront sudden shifts, high stakes and the possibility of collapse or transformation.

Fri 02 Oct – Wed 14 Oct 2026
Time: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Artspace on the Prom

Open Late Tuesday 13 October 18:00-20:00

A trip to the seaside to see my work in ‘Cliff Edge: textile art on the brink’ at @cromerartspace

Loved the mix of work with artists from across the world.

Yesterday, the social media team visited Knit & Stitch to see and support Associate Member Ali Pickard, who is exhibiting at the show for the first time with her solo exhibition, Wandering Wombs and Wallfish.

Congratulations, Ali, on a fantastic achievement. We're delighted to see your work and wish you a successful exhibition.

Ali will be at Alexandra Palace, London until Sunday 11 October. The exhibition will then travel to the Harrogate Convention Centre 19-22 November.

I am delighted to be showing work in ‘Cliff Edge: Textile Art on the Brink’ at Cromer Artspace @cromerartspace, a beautiful little gallery filled with perfect North Norfolk coastal light.

Curated by Jessica Loveday, Sandra Morris and Kate Farley, three key themes are explored across work by 49 textile artists - Disruption, Risk and Tension.

‘Still - 3’ explores divergence between structure and dissolution, presence and absence. The title evokes a film still: one fleeting moment within changing light and perception, between what is seen, remembered and disappearing.

Alas, I can’t make the trip from Glasgow this time, but the show is on until 12th October from 11am-4pm daily, so if you are in the area, I thoroughly recommend it!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Gallery FRANK on Saturday for the opening of Beautiful, Radiant Things by Ebor Member Helen Davies. 🧶💜

It was wonderful to celebrate Helen’s incredible work with so many of you — and what a brilliant way to open our final exhibition of the year!

If you didn’t make it along, don’t worry — the exhibition is still open to view this Saturday, or you can get in touch with us to arrange a viewing by appointment.

Using needlelace and knit, Helen explores workers’ protests, bread, feminism, anger and the history of craft as a political and subversive practice — creating bright, bold and unapologetically vibrant & joyous work.

📍 Gallery FRANK, Ebor Studio, Littleborough OL15 8JP

🥖 And don’t forget — Potluck, Puppet, Pole & Prattle takes place this Saturday, 10th October, 5–7pm, alongside the exhibition.

Book or find out more via link in our bio⬆️

The ELP Festival of Print PV at the Art Pavilion: An artistbook installation REGENERATION versus GENTRIFICATION - LINES EXPLORING SPACE (pics 1-12). It will also be shown at IMPRINT Art Fair (Former WCPF, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair) & the IOPE (International Original Print Exhibition) & perhaps a few more🤞🏼

An ongoing project of 1/double-sided etchings, aquatint, hand-incision & woven inserts with thermochromic ink (that changes colour with fluctuations of temperature or touch); 2/The Triptych and 3/The Trilogy of pop-ups from a single flat ~A3-size work that transforms into a 3D module that interlocks with each other, flat-packed for easy assembly & reversal, no adhesive or binding. For more work in progress see the previous post.

This series is based on a photo I took at Berea, Ponte City, Johannesburg, South Africa, the tallest residential tower in the African continent, that’s had many regenerations & gentrification.

Thanks to my son-in-law Paul (born in Cape Town), my elder kid Suda & 1st grandkid Tomiri, who took me on a 2week road trip in Cape Town & Johannesburg, where my daughter worked in. The trip was funded by her jackpot win on a TV Quiz !MPOSSIBLE.

The annual ELP box set was also launched and see me demonstrate my contribution The Butterfly Effect, an etching, embossing and hand-incision. A term coined by a MIT meteorologist & mathematician, Edward Lorenz to explain the principle in the CHAOS THEORY stating that small, initial changes in a complex system can lead to massive and unpredictable outcomes down the road. Never more relevant than the current times we live in with concerns for the climate, planet and ongoing wars with so much tragic loss of life in war zones, specially children…
