The Forty Five Kings Present Special Guest Deejay Katch on Saturday 29 August 2026 & Just Announced DL from Seven Sails Records (Adelaide) Joins The Line Up!!!

Hi All, it is my great pleasure to announce the lineup for the next Forty Five Kings Party at Music Room Melbourne on Saturday 29 August 2026.

This will be our 24th Party at Music Room Melbourne and I am super happy to have the Brisbane and @resindogs dj and producer legend, @deejaykatch returning to Melbourne for a 3rd time to play this party from 12-3am!!!

Making her debut and opening the party from 5-7pm will be @shanitavice, coming in strong from Geelong with a bag of classic 7” Vinyl treats.

On the bill and playing from 7-9pm, I am pleased to once again be hosting Brisbane implant, dope dj, great producer and one half of the @takefingz record label with Deejay Katch, @djtobygee who will be joining us for his 2nd visit to Music Room and our party.

I am also really happy that my good mate, dope dj, producer, and @sevensails_records Records scratch bandit DL @the__dl from Adelaide, SA who will be joining us from 9-10pm. This is his 2nd visit to this party and last time he slayed it!

As the party host I will be playing from 10pm - 12am.

As always all are welcome, it’s Free Entry and we go everywhere, except the cheese factory in the pursuit of a dancefloor!

Be warned this will be packed from beginning to end, so if you want to get in, come early, grab a spot and prepare to dance... taken in Music Room Melbourne by @the__dl

World-class records, properly global selection — the kind of deep crates where you go in for “just a quick look” and resurface 45 minutes later holding three albums you didn’t know you needed. There’s genuinely something for everyone.

And then there’s the coffee. Had the pour over today and I won’t forget it in a hurry. Clean, complex, the sort of cup that makes you pause mid-sip and reconsider your standards.

It might be slightly dangerous for me — vinyl and exceptional coffee are two of my great weaknesses. But if that’s how I go broke, at least I’ll go happily. taken in Ebenezer Place, Adelaide by @the__dl

Last night felt like coming home.
A Cargo reunion done right — an incredible night of great music, familiar faces and nothing but positive vibes.

Cargo was always about pushing boundaries: jazz, hip hop, funk, soul, blues, disco and house — all colliding in the best possible way. And that spirit was alive and loud last night. by @the__dl
