Before the world learned to call it hair, it was language. A living archive shaped by patient hands and inherited memory.

African hair has never been without meaning.

It carried identity when names were taken, routes when maps were forbidden, beauty when the world tried to redefine it. Every coil is deliberate. This is not chaos, it is architecture.

What rests within it is not ornament but testimony: labour, survival, continuity.

The afro rises in refusal of flattening, of erasure, of worth measured by palatability.

This is not a trend.
It is inheritance made visible.
Resistance made gentle.

This is not just hair.
This is history standing tall.
