No soil. No chemical fertilizers. Just pure Koi pond water powering these crazy white roots! 🌿💧
Fish waste turns into natural plant food, and the plants clean the water right back for the Koi. Double win! 🐟✨

How our 4-stage DIY aquaponics filter keeps our koi pond crystal clear! 🌿🐟👇

A lot of you asked how we manage our water quality—here is our complete filtration system breakdown:

1️⃣ Pump: Sunsun JTP 8000 pumping water from the pond.
.
2️⃣ Mechanical Filter: Sunsun CPF 10000 pressurized canister filter.
.
3️⃣ Bio-Filtration: Custom blue barrel filled with sponges, bio-media, and chemical media.
.
4️⃣ Plant Filtration: Water feeds into 11 grow beds filled with veggies and mint to absorb nitrates.
.
5️⃣ Return: Flows through a 3-inch hydroponics pipe back into the pond! 💧

Save this post if you're planning your own DIY pond or aquaponics build! Got questions? Drop them below! 👇

🚨From bright red to faded... What happened to this Koi?!
Don't panic! If they had a massive growth spurt in just a couple of weeks, their skin and pigment cells stretch out, causing the color to look washed out.
