I remember sitting in the office, listening to the first recording of We Outside as @gaisebaba shared the heartbeat behind it — not just an explanation, but a vision. And as he spoke, I could see every word unfold like a film in my mind.I thought, “This should be a story. A scene. And maybe this shouldn’t be another story sitting quietly on my laptop. Maybe I should share it.”So I wrote the script and sent it — with zero expectations. Just obedience to inspiration. He read it. He liked it. We made a few tweaks… and suddenly, there was a final script.Then he said, “We’re shooting it.”Even when the final video arrived, it still felt surreal that something I wrote had been brought to life.Thank you, Gaise Baba, for trusting my pen.And to the incredible team at @sozofilms — thank you for translating words into a world.To my guy, @theanuissavage thank you for working on this. I love love this verse so much because it points at two things: 1. The willingness to pray, to obey God, the yearning for His Presence is evidence of God’s work in us. “God works in you to will” - God works within us, shaping our heart so that it begins to desire what He desires. Aligns nicely with Romans 12:2. 🥰2. God doesn’t only create the desire, He also gives us strength to do! Can you imagine that?! We often think “I need to push myself to study or pray.” This tells us otherwise - the push is supplied by God, not you. He gives us the grace and strength to carry out the desires we have. It’s basically saying We are called to obey yet God (who calls us) is also the one energizing that obedience. How beautiful! So when you think about your former self before Christ, and you think of yourself now in Christ, you can only say it is By the will of God I have changed this much. Not by my effort, nor by my will - God! This should spur you to thank God for the gift of salvation. I am saying “THANK YOU ABBA!” #iWant2grow #thebigmills by @the_bigmills

For years, we, Nigerians have mastered the language of frustration. We know what is wrong. We know who failed. We know the cost.What we have not mastered is the language of organized power. And as another election season approaches, I find myself thinking extensively on our situation. What if voting is only the beginning of our responsibility, not the end of it? What if, beyond the tweets, the fliers and content we push to get everyone voting, we can take an active role in the process? Some burdens do not leave you alone.Not because you are anxious. Not because you think you can save the world. But because once your heart becomes sensitive to people, nations and the realities around them, indifference becomes difficult.And that is part of what prayer really is - refusing to watch things happen without taking them to God. Life lately has been an interesting mix of lessons, joys, stretching and challenges.And if I’m being honest, there was a version of me that would have been consumed by all of it. I would have fixated on what hurt, what wasn’t working, what felt heavy.But lately, I’ve noticed something changing in me.The words “It is God who works in you, to will and to do for His good pleasure” have begun to find expression in my life. I still see the hard things, but they no longer completely consume me. I walk through them differently now. More grounded. More aware. More rested.And it made me realize something:Sometimes, we become so focused on surviving a season that we fail to notice what it is growing in us. The patience. The wisdom. The maturity. The shifts in how we respond to life.And when we miss that growth, we unintentionally remain versions of ourselves that cannot yet carry certain things.Because some things are not just prayed into.Some things must be grown into. by @the_bigmills
