A sister is worth more than any designer label! When trying to plan a posh designer birthday bash, I went from the classic Dior bag that is very popular for party swag, and decided if I do this, it needs to be as original as possible! Realizing her name is basically Chanel with leah, I was stoked. Chanel it'll be. And we went head on with it. Luckily, my amazing daughter does cricut and was able to create all the swag I designed and had in mind. How would you feel if someone did this for your bday? Did you ever have someone throw you something like this?

P.s. pls read the pinned comments before you message me privately to poke fun at the fact that I'm calling this an amaretto cake when I don't include the amaretto. We went thru this before in my stories and I'm not gna do it again, mmkayyyy? Theeenks!
This cake will be your go-to. I make it BY HAND in a bowl with a whisk. No separate eggs, no wet and dry, mix it in any order and you have urself the yummiest cake standing proudly on your counter.
This is the cake my mother is known for. She sends it for simchas, always has it at home, and I decided it's time for me to make it my minhag in my home as well! You can make an icing for it, but I honestly find that a dusting of confection sugar is all it needs! Swipe for recipe!

They say a mother juggles.
"The juggle struggle"
But nobody tells you
what the balls are made of.
A Yiddishe mama
stands in the middle of her life
with her arms stretched wide,
trying to keep them all in the air.
And she tries so hard to catch them!
Because every ball
was thrown by someone she loves.
And that's what makes it so hard
to let one fall.
Because maybe
to someone else
it's just a question.
Just a ride.
Just a phone call.
Just a problem
that could wait until tomorrow.

But to the person who threw it—
it's everything.
And so she catches it.
Even when her hands are already full.
Because somehow,
while she's catching everyone else's balls,
she's also building the world
they get to come home to.

She's cooking.
And baking.
And thinking three meals ahead
while cleaning up the last one.
She's making Shabbos feel like Shabbos.
Setting the table.
Preparing the food.
Making Yom Tov beautiful.
Remembering who likes what,
who won't eat what,
what still needs to be bought,
what still needs to be done—
and somehow making it all look
like it just happened.

She's creating memories
Putting beauty on the table
and love into the food.
Giving her family
a home they may not fully appreciate
until years from now
when they suddenly realize—
That's what home felt like.

And then one day
you look around
and realize—
the little ones aren't so little.
The teenagers are becoming adults.
The adults are building lives
of their own.
And suddenly motherhood
isn't about packing lunches
and tying shoes.

It's knowing when to speak
and when to stay quiet.
When to hold on
and when to let go.
When to give advice
and when to simply say,
I'm here.

And somehow,
while everyone is growing,
you're growing too.
Trying to figure out
how to be a mother
to children who need you
in completely different ways.

So you keep juggling.
One ball for the little one.
One for the teenager.
One for the adult child.
One for your marriage.
One for your home.
One for yourself.
(Let's admit that's the one we let go of too easily)

My camera roll has approximately 47,000 pictures that I’m “definitely going to print one day.” 😂

Well… one day finally came.

I turned some of my favorite family photos into a whole wall of memories with Wooplak, and honestly, the fact that they send you a blueprint telling you exactly where everything goes might be the greatest invention since sliced bread.

Because me + measuring + trying to make things straight? Let’s just say… we don’t have a strong history. 😂

We ate in Phoenix the first night we arrived (Thursday) at smash grill.
Then was shabbos- so we ate by chabad of flagstaff
Sunday and Monday, we made shnitzel and the next night, meat. We had hotdogs for whoever was hungry.
Tuesday night we ate in Scottsdale at fata morgana.
Wednesday morning we ate in Phoenix at la bella pizza. We went to the bakery to get some stuff for the plane r&b bakery.

We packed utensils, plastic goods, tablecloths, extra garbage bags, snacks, oatmeal, noodle soups (noone ate any) homemade granola, sliced apples (had a knife so we bought fresh apples in AZ and had more) I packed empty snack bags to make for each day fresh baggies of apples and oat bars etc... we froze cheese, meat, and frozen chicken cutlets and packed it in a cooler bag with dry ice. We sent a betty crocker from Amazon to the Airbnb cuz it was too heavy and bulky to shlep.

What have you done in Arizona?
We saw Phoenix, Flagstaff, Williams, Sedona and Scottsdale! Traveling with a baby isn't easy, we couldn't do too much, but it was a beautiful trip bh!
